White flowers, green apples, pineapple, vanilla beans, lemon chiffon, pears, and orange blossoms fill the nose. On the palate, the wine is perfectly balanced between its wealth of perfectly ripe, sweet, opulent fruits, and its racy acidities. The lingering finish is all about its purity in the lemon edged fruits, crushed rocks and stones and edgy textures. The wine blends 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sauvignon Gris and 5% Semillon. Drink from 2024-2040.

Amsterdam UGCB Tasting (Zuiderkerk): Energetic and ripe, lots of interest here, peach and tropical fruits, just visible oak, minerality and crisp acidity, convincing finish. Top notch.

UGCB tasting-Amsterdam 2021 Bordeaux 03-04-2024: A firm push of vanille and wood, but for me the wine misses the concentration to support this equally with fruit and concentration; the acidity is a bit harsh.

Highly aromatic nose of classic grass and grapefruit here showing the high SB, but with a certain richness to it that had me confused at first. On the palate this certainly had plenty of driving acidity, but felt very focused on concentration and texture, which may be bode well, though in the moment I found it a bit of a head-scratcher.

Tasted at UGC London Tasting 8/11/23. 90% SB, 5% SG, 5% Sem. V good refined nose with good fruit. Palate still a bit tight but v aromatic, good structure and v good finish. On a par with the Olivier Blanc, my stand out winner, but should be for the price!

Bordeaux 2021 Arrivage Tasting (Dolder Grand, Zurich): Intense and spicy gooseberry fruit, dragon fruit, lemongrass and with powdery minerality. Crisp with fresh acidity, a long citric finish adding lime juice notes. Vibrant with tension. Of the 3 whites tastes (Pape Clément, Chevalier) this was the winner thanks to its precision focus. Fresh out of the gate probably the best SHL Blanc they've made in the last 6 years I find.

Green apples, pineapple, flowers, vanilla, lemon chiffon and orange blossoms crowd into the nose. Energetic, crisp, fresh, clean and pure with a fabulous pop in the mouth from all the layers of sweet, but vibrant fruits. The touch of peppery spice in the finish adds another dimension. The wine was produced from a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sauvignon Gris and 5% Semillon. 13.5% ABV. Drink from 2023-2035. 98-98

En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Again, gooseberry but a little passion fruit & pineapple as well as some cream, oak present but in the background, ripe with a little green apple. In the mouth it’s generous and charming, the oak lends richness, the fruit amalgamated but a little homogenous, touch of texture. Quite rich. Time.

UGCB Amsterdam, walkaround tasting so just short notes.: Ripe yellow and white fruits, beautiful oak, good acidity and a fairly firm amount of sweetness. But overall certainly a very beautiful wine.

Pulled this bottle to share over a book club dinner.
The book: The Devils Playbook
Paired with Lebanese food prepared by Chef Rafael from Craft Pita.
This was awesome from the get go and kept improving as the night went on. No formal notes just a wonderful impression.
