Medium lemon color with slow legs. Honeysuckle., lemon, and grass on the nose. Pear, white peach, and apple on the palate. Smooth finish with good acidity. Outstanding wine and glad we have another bottle.

Popped and poured at 10 degrees above cellar temp. Great with food (broiled salmon on day one, fried salmon cakes on day two). A very nice, straightforward Chardonnay. Doesn't inspire much in the way of comment, but it makes for a thoroughly enjoyable glass of wine.

Getting better and better. Elements are coming together. Liquid pear personality is so nice. The oak and acid adds complexity and zip. Another year, and I think this will be at peak. Super wine. (93)

Decanted one hour before service - two hours might have been preferable, but let's not quibble. In the glass, clear, pale gold. On the nose, lemon, mango, and smoke. On the palate, significant oak on the attack, that fades away to reveal a mix of tropical fruit, lemon zest, and crisp acidity, through a long finish. This wine's best days are still a few years out, but it's quite nice right now.

First sip, rich, dense layer of fresh fruit paste, like a twizzler flavor yet to be invented. Its the 4th, Aubert Chard, the perfect start to any party, especially on a warm summer day. Like a ballerina on her toes delivering all basics and pleasing with each visit. easy 95 pts

Fresh, powerful and complex, the nose has a lot of things going on, maybe white flower , some honeysuckle and even a touch of Red Bull or taurine on the Nose. I like it a Lot. 93-94+

Light clear yellow, on 👃 very zesty with lemon & lime, graphite, wet forest floor, honeycomb, faint mint. Dry, light body, medium acidity, biting into honeycomb with light lemon in herbal tea. Great aroma and taste now.

Clear, light yellow gold, gingery summer flowers, candied orange, almond, and lime honey. Lighter to medium bodied with an oilier texture, sweet ripe lemon, summer hay, and sweet vanilla crème. Slightly chalky, firm acidity to finish. Overall sense of oak, but more in the background and layered, raw in nature and well integrated. A bit short in length, but excellent for the regional blend.

Bright, zesty lemon curd fruit with butter notes on the finish. While not as complex as the Aubert single vineyard Chardonnay’s, this is a terrific wine.

Every time I try this wine, I like it a bit more. It’s starting to deepen and flesh out while retaining the zippy nature that makes it such a pleasurable drink. Yellow plum skin and flowers mix nicely with crushed stones. Stony, prickly finish. I need to keep my hands off for a year or two - not easy. (92)

Ripe melon, lemons, vanilla and grass notes. Drank over 2 days and day 2 was better as this continued to open up. I also enjoyed day 2 more as I did not refrigerate, but kept it at 55 degrees and the warmer temp coaxed out more of the aromas. This will benefit from 2-3 more years of rest, but very good now.
Bright citrus (I get limes and green apple) and rose petal notes on the nose. Punchy acidity with a pale yellow color in glass. Medium finish and a zesty ending.

Palate: ripe pear, light banana, medium+ finish of dry herbs, minerality, white pepper; dry; full- body; medium+ acidity; low- tannins
Overall thoughts: A lot of great stuff going on here -- nice body and structure, with a bit of complexity, but I think it might need a bit of time to fall into place a bit more. 90 - 91 points. Pretty great wine.

Very pale straw. Reductive notes on the nose, along with saline, oyster shell, lemon. Getting more orange citrus notes on the palate. Excellent intensity, and length, on the finish. Nice acdity here to balance out the richness. Nose has lost some punch on night 2 but still drinks fantastic as a baby.

No idea what to expect because of the vintage. This is an upside surprise. Straw yellow with some green. The nose is true to Aubert with white pear and dry honey notes. Maybe not as intense as some other bottlings but shows a family resemblance for sure. The palate is medium bodied with excellent vibrancy. Maybe missing some fruit and depth. That said, a wonderful wine to drink more than analyze. Balanced and pure. (90)

Wines Before / At / After a Passover Seder (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Small glass. Good richness and concentration for Aubert's entry level wine, even if slightly simple. Better in another year, but this will be best young.
