PnP. Tons of white flowers and white peach fruit on the crisp nose. Flavors of white melon, pineapple, lemon pith and notes of candle wax, then a pulse of acidity that springs out, riding into a light finish of pear. Fun wine.

Interesting wine. not typical rose drinkers but we liked this a lot as it was more savory than the average rose. not a pool pounder, had to think about this one a bit.

I must be the target audience for this wine, because I love it. Lovely and light, very quaffable. Did not find it sweet or too acidic. Perfect summer wine.

In a vacuum, this is a tough wine to serve with a payoff that doesn't justify the efforts. In context of being a fan of Bedrock and listening to the podcast, this is a very fun experiment that I enjoyed drinking and spending some effort understanding.
I can see why many people don't like it - on opening, the wine was very disjoined with a green astringency on the front, and a sutter home-like kiwi/strawberry fruit cocktail on the back.
I gave this a 2 hour cold decant and everything started to come together as the wine evolved from Minute Maid Strawberry Kiwi juice to a sophisticated fruit salad. Slices of fresh apricots and melons were finished with a drizzle of honey and a handful of green herbs. A crisp mineral finish with moderate acidity refreshes the palate for the next sip.
Unfortunately, this peak was short lived as by day 2, a lot of the interesting aromatics were gone. I'd agree with the 2022-2024 drinking window. Overall, this was a lot of effort to hit a brief peak. This contrasts with Ode to Lulu where I feel the wine is always singing out of the bottle, making it easy to fall in love with.
Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun with this. I haven't had a white zinfandel since my college days and this took some thinking to figure out how to handle.
While this bottle didn't make me desire a second, it did impress me with the thoughtfulness of the Bedrock team. This was a fun story to read, and a great experience for the fans of the regular Esola Zinfandel.

First off…leave your preconceptions at the door. This wine defies all of them and I love that! Keep an open mind and experience this very interesting version of “White Zinfandel”. The color is unique…pale and somewhere between straw and salmon. It almost looks more like a white wine than a rose. The nose has strawberry, floral and mineral components, with a hint of sweetness. But it’s bone dry. The palate is lead by peach and a richer body than the color portends. The body feels like it should be sweet, but it’s not. There is a honey/agave flavor that further confounds the senses. Unripe melon, apricot and a hint of strawberry at the end. This can certainly be a great porch pounder on a hot day, but don’t underestimate it with food. Paired nicely with Pesto Zoodles as well as Lemon Ice (no churn ice cream) and blueberries. This one will make you think! Great job by Morgan, Chris, Cody and the team!

Bought this in hopes of something close to a typical dry rose and to relive yesteryear but made by a true winemaker . Turns out today is better after all . A sweet bomb. Glad I tried but no takers in my household .

This was excellent. A lighter pink Zin than many I've had but equally deep in personality to the best of them. Super enjoyable, and always love the label work by Goines.

I get that there were fires and this was a last ditch effort to make something before it was smoke tainted--but it reminds me of the Sutter Home my mom drank in 1990. Zinfandel is not a white or sparkling grape.
I have turned around on this wine. It is drinking in a much better place than on release. The heavy mouthfeel has gone away. Still has a lot of that peach pit astringent notes. But the fruit has rounded out nicely and developed some stone fruit notes.
Glad I still have a few more bottles of this.

Pale copper in color. Nose: gooseberry, green pepper, pineapple, a little pepper. Palate, raspberry, gooseberry, green pepper, kiwi, tangerine. The finish is not so good. There is a bitter and hot flare there. M acidity. Very simple in depth and complexity. Restrained in sweetness. Pretty middle of the road. Good at fridge temp, fruit is quite subdued. Day two, the once backend bitter note has bloomed to encompass the whole taste. Not as good.

PNP followed over two days. Extremely pale salmon color. Peach, strawberry. Decent acidity, but still came across sweet up front, even though the wine is completely dry. It so followed by a saline note, even a slight bitterness. It’s a legit rose, an acceptable warm weather quaffer, I would have preferred a bit more depth.

Temperatures 30 degrees hotter than normal? That’s Rosé weather. Normally I am a Mourvèdre Rosé fan, but I had picked up a few of these, and figured it was about time to open one. Very pale color - more like onion skin than a light pink, but the aromas were on point, with peach and strawberry. Good acidity on the palate, which helped with the heat. Not something I would turn to for intellectual stimulation, but it hit the right marks for a summer Rosé, and that was all it had to do. Crisp, fruity, refreshing- check!

Pale pink with a very mild nose of citrus. On the palate high acid, peach, some salinity fairly long finish. Not super complex and nowhere near the depth of lulu but an enjoyable crushable rose.

Light peach color. Floral, peach, and strawberry notes on the nose, with a whiff of alcohol. The palate is a bit too acidic, with fruit that hides in the background. Not really up to Bedrock standards, in my opinion. Revisit again in another year to see if anything's changed, but I’m not too hopeful.

Faint color, mix between orange and salmon. White flowers and stone fruit on the nose. On the palate, more of the same fruit, just a hint of zin spice, and a pleasant streak of citrusy bitterness. Good structure, medium plus acidity, medium body, medium alcohol. Ready to drink now, but has years ahead - did not observe much difference on day two. Like the wine, and the story behind it even more.

This is definitely a different beast from the Ode to Lulu. More fruit on the nose: white cherry, nectarine, orange rind. Fleshier than the grapefruit-dominated Lulu. It's also less textural on the palate, but that fruit is really lovely. Medium acid, medium (plus?) bodied. Very refreshing.
I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about, I'm enjoying this. It also helps that it's 74 degrees outside.

Intrigued by Bedrock’s offering of a white Zinfandel I ordered a single bottle. The nose was pleasant enough, white peach, minerals. The palate was reminiscent of a Rhone white with white/yellow stone fruits and somewhat viscous. The finish was short and simple. After two glasses came across as flabby and sweet, not at all crisp or refreshing. Never drank white zin back in the day and this wine assures me I didn’t miss anything. Not very good. Might be fun for hipsters wanting to drink ironic wine

Day 1: angular, sharp, bitter. Regretting a full allocation. Day 2: bright, rich, balanced, nice little gentle bitter edge to peach, rock, and strawberry. Bandol-esque. Regret not wish listing more. Conclusion: Give it time/air.

Not quite off the back of the truck, I had a similar experience at Chateaushiny. More angular and fussy than most wines upon opening, but that was just out of the fridge, and it settled into being a nice Rose featuring Rainier cherries and echoes of stone fruits and unripe melon. I dig the style but it's not going to herald the return of the White Zin category, it sort of shows the limitations thereof actually, albeit in the hands of a gifted winemaker, with good versatility at the table. I'll try to hold the remainder until spring/summer 23.
Sealed under Diam 30. Pale but almost clear orange. Nose of cherries, orange zest, a bit of cream, dandelions, cardamom, and mild herbs. Light bodied, bone dry, with a big mineral streak. Very much along a line of a delicate Provence rose. Palate is hard to describe - Lemon, orange, sour cherry, peach pit, herbs, and a bit of wood. Long saline and seashell finish with lemon zest.
I am on the fence on what I think. I like it, but it fails to strike the same nerve as Lulu. I am glad I wishlisted more past my allocation. Going to leave this unrated until I pop open the 2nd bottle.
