Drank on steak night; dark, opaque red color, blackberry nose and taste, ripe but not overripe, still our favorite Turley zin and this was an exceptional bottle. Not too early, not too late. May try breaking my "no more than five years" rule for Turley zins for the last bottle.

Pnp'd to enjoy with pizza....mistake! This vintage needs air, or time. I know that now. At best an 89-90. Just really uninspiring for a Ueberroth, which has always inspired me and was the very first Turley wine that I fell in love with. It appears that the heat of 2020 affected the Paso wines as well.
Under a Repour stopper for 2 days, no gas, no vacuum. Finished the pizza for lunch this afternoon as well as the last half of this bottle. This one def needed a l-o-n-g slow ox or a second day! Changes by 3-4 points easily. Strong black raspberry fruit on the nose. More classic Ueberroth notes of tea and clove and the more noted softness that I get from Ueberroth. Excellent and strong finish and quite balanced out now, as well. The fruit is just such pure Zin! I think I have one left and will def give it some airtime once pulled......

8 months since my last bottle....notes/score pretty much the same with a little change in behavior. This drank best and had the best nose right from the pnp and for about an hour after that. Lots of juicy zin goodness/nose...then the fruit moved toward a bit tart and there was less of that great zin nose. Going through a phase, I'm sure.

Super dark garnet. Spice and sea on the nose. Palate is very spicy and delicious. It’s a big wine. We hadn't had an Ueberroth in quite some time and took a couple home!
Used as a ringer in a flight of five syrahs from different regions. Only 3 of 16 tasters identified it as the non-syrah. Still our favorite zin, plenty of fresh red fruit aromas and flavors. We're drinking our last bottles of 2018, which are as old as we like them. Ric

Our favorite of Turley's sins but this bottle, which excellent, did not bowl us over as much as several others from the last two vintages. We'll try another soon. Ric
Austere. Cherry notes. Tart. Has hints of the Turley fruit. It seems like it is awaiting opening up though not what I expected. Starting to unfurl after a couple hours. Will give the next bottles a couple more years before approaching.

Been a long time since I last had a Ueberroth Vineyard Zinfandel. My dad had ordered a case of this wine, but sadly never got to drink it. Opened one and sampled over two nights. The defining feature for me was a distinctive brightness - fresh acidity that amplified the fruit and spice character of the wine. There was no heaviness and no trace of heat despite the 15.7% alcohol (I was shocked when I checked it). Food friendly and with a long, spiced cherry finish, this was a wonderful, if melancholy, welcome back to the site.
Been a little worried about this one given some earlier reviews. Pnp'd for pizza night with neighbors and NOT disappointed, at all. Typical Turley nose, taste and feel given the barrel treatment. Might be a tad young, yet. Can't be harsh in my grading here, other than a tad of tart/bitter fruit on the ending which indicates it needs more time. The front 85% is a beautiful zin spiced, red fruited beauty, is quite good......though this vintage not as soft/smooth as others in the mouth feel department. Maybe that comes with more bottle age? I think this one has the potential to get to 94 , no problem......
Wow. I read some of the other notes here and while I agree with some observations, I have a slightly different view. I got spice, barnyard, and a touch of mint. I agree that the body is a bit thin, but there is a pretty good flavor profile with a nice finish. I agree that the price is rather high for the quality of the wine. My favorite Turley is Buck Cobb and I think the QPR favors the Buck. Overall, this is a very nice Paso Zin.

Generally a big fan of Turley zins, but this didn’t live up to their typically high standards.
Nose of prime rib (honestly, it smelled like meat - maybe smoke taint?). Light to mid colour. The wine was thin and tasted more like fruit juice than wine.
Similar to Turley's Judge Bell but not sure it's worth the extra $20. Very nice wine but maybe not worth qpr. Will update again after 2hrs air if big changes. Much better day 2 but acidity high which leads me to think these need more time to come together. Try next one late 2024, early 2025.

This was very good, but will definitely benefit from more time in the bottle. (It was better the second night.) It’s a little jammy (which we like) followed by a bit of pepper. Will hold a bottle for another year or three.

From a morning tasting at the Amador location. My notes are sparse and based on memory. 15.7% ABV. Classic bouquet with a touch of fruit roll-up; layered and nuanced, developing a intoxicating perfume. Rich, full impact palate. Linear, juicy with good acidity and length. 90+

Good, but not interesting. Mainly ripe red fruit, A little bit hot (not surprising given 15.8 alcohol). Slightly sweet.

Always a favorite, so well blended and balanced, rich, deep, a touch smokey, blackberry, even a bit of salt?. Will keep coming back to the Ueberroth.

Drink this one way too early so I need to keep future wines like this for at least 5 years. Acidity will give this a long life.

Billiets Zin-Tastic Zinfandels (Billiet's Bordelo): Darker fruited nose, notes of blackberry and boysenberry. Juicy and integrated palate, lower on the acidity spectrum. My 3 of 6.
