Part of a mixed case purchased at auction. Very pleasantly surprised— the wine is a beautiful golden-green color, weighty and rich, saline and not oxidized, with a vibrant, ripe nose and a persistent (slightly bitter) finish. A mature wine but not an old wine—in a nice window that would seem to last for at least a couple more years. A happy discovery.

The cork on this was a little elevated, and there was some oxidation going on under the capsule. The wine didn't seem any worse for the wear, though - this is nice. Medium ripeness and body, balancing structure, some butter, but not like a California style. A bit of nuttiness, but not oxidized. Interesting.

VEO Amsterdam, Barolo (Restaurant Domenica Amsterdam): Lush with yellow fruits on the nose. Concentrated and medium-bodied with nice balance of fruits and acidity. Should hold well until 2025.

Apple pear nose, but faint. Strong, dull and too much alcohol. Mature but not oxidized.

Consistent with previous note. The last of 11 and it was good to the last drop.

Mooie frisheid, zuurtje en geconcentreerde wijn. Mooie volle aanzet, perzik, wit fruit em vanille. Mooi uitgebalanceerd. Mag nog 5 jaar liggen.

Yikes. Just yikes.; 9/24/2009-9/25/2009 (Bowling Green, OH): Crisp, not at all oaky, great balance. A bit of butter in the background. Medium+ body. Slight minerality and spice. Very impressive Chard.

Ripe tropical fruit, cream, minerals and crisp acidity. More Californian in style than European. A gorgeous wine!

Nose of pineapple and tropical fruit. Rich, creamy taste. Tropical, but not sweet. Delicious!
