  • Medium-deep reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & raspberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, herbs, spices, anise, camphor, leather, tobacco, coffee, minerals & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & plums with spices, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish with firm gripping tannins. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging at which time it may merit an even higher score (97+). An outstanding Brunello which needs & will benefit from additional aging. One of the best 2019 Brunellos I have tasted to date & a "must buy" for any serious Brunello fan.

  • Decanted for four hours. Absolutely mesmerizing. Bing cherries, saddle leather, white pepper, acacia, star fruit, char siu and teak. The red fruit ensconces your palate, and the sheer agility and transparency are suave, sophisticated and gentle. Yet, the finish sails on and on… A medium body and very fine almost silky tannins, with this pure, sappy middle. The honest and angelic fruit has a district and glorious voice. Of course there’s finesse. This bottling is legendary - maybe the best yet. So delightful today and hard to stay away from, this will age without any effort. Decant for a few hours, consume over many days or wait about five years. Drink 2028 -.
