Had a few Cimicky wines when in Aus some years ago, all were good and all typical of grape and area, big fruity nose on this a nd a big mouthful, no alcoholic overtones nicely balanced for a big wine and not overpriced as many wines in Australia are starting to be, I enjoyed this.

Best wine I've had in a few months! Astounded at the age on this one and how jump-from-the-glass BIG it remains. Beautiful fruit, a ton of wood and smoke, all well balanced and as it should be. This will hold for a few more years, easily, but I think it's a very good time to drink these.

I was looking for more balance and complexity than I got. The wine is fine--well made, very extracted and dark, and palate-satiating. But it is somewhat clunky and chunky, and remained so even after a couple of hours in the decanter. I don't think this is going to get any better or more refined with age. Drink or keep, but consume with highly flavoured red meats.

Bit of funk on the nose after open, but that fades. Pretty strong alcohol at the end and lots of life left here. Fruit somewhat dissipated. Not sure I have ever loved this stuff

Decanted for an hour or so and drank over next 2 hrs. this could have been cellared a little longer but it was ripe rich and full bodied and enjoyed by all.

Last bottle and probably the best of the lot. I was little concerned after the flawed bottle. But this was excellent. Lots of oak and cedar aromas and flavors at the start, but that blew off after about 30 mins. Opened up nicely to crushed berries, leather, and tobacco. Hints of mushroom and black pepper. Silky tannins and long finish. Wish I had more to see it develop further.

Heavy funk and charred must when opened. Needed an hour to blow off and calm down. At that point it became an excellent bottle of wine. Fragrant bouquet of dark fruits, deep earth, mushrooms, leather. Elegant, chewy and silky. Previous bottle (8 mos ago) showed some heat on the finish. This one is softer with well balanced and integrated tannins. Really enjoyable! (Doris 88. Tannins too big)

This is not your typical Aussie fruit bomb. Soft, round and well-balanced with sufficient heat on the finish to stand up to BBQ meats. Needed two hour decant to fully open up. Definitely one of the better premium Shiraz's for the $. Drink now or cellar.

Nice shiraz. Plenty of fruit, a great nose and vibrant acidity. In general, I think its hard to tell whether a wine will get better with age, but in this case, there is a somewhat off putting green streak in the mid palate that might soften over time.

Different than expected (and in a good way). Fragrant bouquet of tobacco, leather, earth, dark fruits. An elegant wine, even if a little hot on the finish. Earthy, meaty, tobacco, leather, dark cherries on the palate. Long luscious finish. This wine is integrating beautifully and with another year or two should be amazing. 1 hr. decant. (Doris 90. Can use another year or two in the bottle).

Dark, chewy, intense effort with considerable extraction. Not in the fruit bomb sense. All in all, a good effort with enough complexity to keep improving through the night.

notes very onsistent with pervious; tannins have integrated a bit better since last bottle; did not decant and did not disappoint; had with tapas as O's;

Smoked, charred steak. Red-raspberry reduction. Meaty ripeness with depth. Much too young this time. Quite upset with myself for opening. This will be one of the great wines out of Australia with 5-7 more years.

Licorice and dark berries with herbal finish; smooth and silky; had with burgers & ribs. A great shiraz; not as intense as Two Hands, but more balanced.

Fabulous, cedary, smoky, blueberry and soy. Sweet and intense. Full body with soft tannin. Low acidity as expected. An outstanding shiraz with complexity. Not as complex on day two.

Decanted for 60 minutes; deep purple color; concentrated nose and flavors of violets, blueberries, and spices; full-bodied, dense, and powerful, but not too overbearing; long finish; had with Hungarian goulash

WCC Australian Shiraz Blind (Home of Chef Andrew Plummer, East Greenbush, NY): Huge ripe stunningly expansive nose. Huge in the mouth, but with great balance. Sadly, my glass was marred by too much sediment.
