Great stuffing, but super salty and tart and some celery. Day 2 - some development, but not fun. Day 3 - finally opened up and smoothed out with lovely peach notes and vegetal/mineral in the undercurrent.
Let these lay for 2 years.

Fantastic as per usual, although I find this vintage to show a bit of sweetness on the palate. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, and clementine lead the way, with an underpinning of hard candy. The calling card is the minerality, with ample notes of wet stone weaving in.

Every time I drink Tempier Rose I wonder if I can ask for much more from a wine. Sure, it will never be as complex and long lasting as great Burgundy, Bordeaux or Rhône but it’s easily as pleasurable, if not more. Which brings me to the pricing of this wine. If you look at Rose as something to be quaffed during the summer months, nothing to think about or pair to, then, undoubtedly, the price tag will irk you. However, if you buy Rose as a wine that can be stored/aged and consumed all year then the price is fair, more than fair. How much better is Tempier Rose than mid-tier Macon or California Chardonnay? Tempier Rose is more versatile at the table, more aromatically complex and satisfying to drink.
Fantastic right out of the bottle, or with air, and at cold to cool temperatures, strawberry and orange sherbert notes on the nose, the palate feels round and smooth, flavors of peach, watermelon pit, cherry and mineral, long finish, consistently great every vintage, the sense of place is evident, good with various food

What distinguishes this rosé, to me, is the elegance of the palette feel and how refined the minerality and fruit integration is.
We also don't get that slight acrid note that comes about in a lot of cheaper rosé (especially in those made of pinot). The Mourvèdre and Grenache here just bring about a fantastic palette, which is why we get fun and elegance in the same feature.

Pale salmon color. Fresh pink rose petals, peaches and cream, strawberry, cranberry, ruby grapefruit zest, watermelon, mint, wet stone, and a touch of white smoke. Light pleasant phenolic texture on the finish. M+ intensity. M/M+ body with a pure (not oily or waxy) texture that has some greater density, weight. M+/H acid. M+ finish. Outstanding, and QPR may be just a touch low due to being a deservedly highly-regarded wine with a slightly higher price.

Grapefruit peel, cranberry, strawberry, melon, cherry blossom, rosemary, white pepper, wet stone. Medium density. Medium+ acidity. Medium finish.
A crisp and structured rose. Love the purity of fruit, spiciness, and minerality that this displays. Just outright delicious. Need a case of this in my cellar.

medium density salmon colored. nose shows grapefruit, cantaloupe, and garrigue, as well as a bit of alcohol. medium bodied with plus acidity. more melon flavors and a citric bite at the back end. a touch of cream. palate shows the heat as well on a medium length finish. a bigger, more elegant rose consistent with prior vintages.

Pale salmon in color, med + aroma intensity, notes of grapefruit, strawberry, raspberry, wet stones, citrus oils, melon, herbes de provance, passionfruit funky stink (good, I swear). In the mouth, the wine is dry, med + acid, med alc, med + body, pronounced flavor intensity, with a med + finish. Palate matches the nose well, I love this wine's intensity. Fun to have alongside some food, or just by itself. drink or hold for 5+ years, will improve with time in bottle.

I’m an unashamed fan and particularly liking the 2022 vintage. Roses, flowers, red berries and dry herbs. Has a lovely upfront brightness with a dry finish. Lovely balanced mouth feel. So more-ish.

Much too young. Tasted over two days, much more relaxed and complex on day 2. with bright strawberries, lovely garrigue, fine acidity and hints of smoke. Amazing depth for a rosé, this remains one of the top-rosés out there. #Bagnols-en-Fôret

La Mer. Charles Trenet. Isn't it amazing, how wine can transport you from one place to the other. Where I am, it is cold and dark, and it is raining. This wine takes me back to France, to summer, and I can smell the sea and the ripening fruits in the orchards (lemon, orange, peach, melon). The sky above me is dimly lit by light pollution, but in my glass the sun shines and happiness is restored - briefly. Because I also think of Yves Montand, Les Feuilles Mortes. "Et la mer efface sur le sable, les pas des amants désunis."

Salmon with copper reflections. Smelled strawberry, watermelon, grapefruit, some rosemary-type herbs; tasted all that and some leesy creamy character. Elegant and balanced, finishing dry and medium-plus in length.

The nose is the winner this vintage, very expressive, aromatic, melon, spice, all the boxes ticked for a Tempier Rosé, though not quite up to the level of the great 2007 and 2012 vintages in their youth. The palate is a different story. Yes, it’s quite tasty, with plenty of rich, spicy, melon fruit, but it has a sweetness that somewhat overwhelms the usual Tempier spice and dried herbs. Quite enjoyable, but missing the gear that makes this vintage worth the increasingly painful tariff.

Certainly up there with the best Rosés I've had this year. It sports a ripe and revealing bouquet of peach, strawberry, fresh flowers, citrus, mint and hints of tropical fruit. The palate is equally sumptuous, redolent with sweet summer fruit and crisp grapefruit notes along with a serious texture and structure through the long finish that just lingers. Of course there is also a creeping minerality that I suspect will emerge further with time in bottle. Clearly needs a year or so to show its true self but already delicious and quite open. A famous property that lives up to its billing (and price just about).

Popped and poured, the wine opened up over the course of the evening.
On the nose I got peaches, spice and citrus fruits.
On the palate: this is a mid to full bodied rosé, not light at all. I agree with the note of tangerine oil, hint of peaches, baking spices and notes of rosemary/thyme on the bitter finish. Really well made rosé, will open my next one in a year to see how it develops.

Initial taste showed ample strawberry, grapefruit, and a hint of Provençal herbs. The bitter grapefruit edge is something I don’t usually like and here it did bother me a little at first. Luckily we had some left over a day later and the disjoint grapefruit component had really melded very nicely with the other flavors. This wine was noticeably better on the second day. A very nice rose with some good depth to it. Score: 91. Relative to expectations: +

Pink salmon in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of strawberries, stone fruits, & citrus notes with overtones of floral notes & minerals, spices & a hint of garrigue in the background. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of fresh strawberries, cranberries & citrus notes with spices & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present although it may develop further with additional aging.

Brand new vintage of Tempier’s brilliant rosé (v22, 13% ABV, 50% Mourvèdre 28% Grenache 20% Cinsault 2%) - a running sensation starring fresh & intriguing red currant, super precision & a lusciously silky palate. Time will tell, but a higher score seems plausible w further bottle age. Well now, we are talking fully-fledged salmon pink in appearance. Nose brings distinct red currants across the board, crisp & bright w fine spice & herbs. Palate is m-bodied, steely vibrancy, straw- & raspberries, closing pure & long!

Great crowd pleaser Bandol rosé. Easy pop and pour. Rounded, good balance of fruit. Not too sweet and certainly not too dry. Strawberries and lavender on the nose. Melon, stone fruit, and citrusy notes on the palate.

Explosive nose of grapefruit and red berries. Expressive, intense, with citrus notes, red berries and salt/stones. More intense than the 2021, and still a baby. Needs a bit of time in the cellar to to settle down, but this is going to be great stuff. As usual.
Very nice. Mostly notes of melon and pear. I would like to say grapefruit, but the acidity is too low for this. That is also my main critique: it is a bit too thick and oily for me, with quite low acidity. I guess it could be the warm year. I would love to try the 2021.

My first bottle of the new vintage, and it comes across as a very open and charming rendition of this perennial favourite, with particularly generous fruit, a soft and supple palate with effortless balance, and an appetising finish. Colour: light salmon, bright, clear. Nose: full, fresh, Mourvèdre dominant predictably, v floral with a touch of garrigue. Taste: med body, q alcoholic on entry, rounded, q opulent, Mourvèdre dominant, good acidity, med finish, the Mourvèdre giving a touch of bitterness on the finish, Overall, it is the bitterness that disappoints me and I have lived previous vintages. The bitterness struck me upon opening and has remained. A shame certainly at this price. I am tempted to say that there is a light cork taint so will try another bottle.
