  • Tasted at a local shop with the husband and wife founders/vignerons from the winery. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made from a specific vineyard block. Barrel fermented in 100% new French oak, then given a 20 month elevage in 50% new French oak. 250 cases made. 14% ABV. No smoke taint observed as this location seemed to be between the major fires and was well ventilated by ocean breezes daily. Very soft, rich and chewy. Dark black fruit. Less oak induced flavors than the process would suggest, but definitely has some added texture and depth from it. Full-bodied but not overpowering in any dimension. Fresh, balanced and easy drinking. This will age well but is the most attractive for current drinking of the wines tasted tonight in my view. I would say this won’t get dramatically better but should drink well over the next 5-10 years. It has a lot of character, complexity and supple depth.

  • Decanted 3 hours, very elegant, not overly complex but easy drinking for a Cab. We are having with steak, but could drink it without food also. Really good wine and value. Glad I have two more bottles as I wanted to taste one early.
