Light gold color. Vanilla and nutmeg aroma. Fresh flavor with balanced fruit and oak flavors. Rich texture. Medium long finish. Good balancing acidity in the finish. When you want a well made California Chardonnay that doesn’t cost a lot, it’s hard to beat the regular bottling of La Crema.

C: Light straw, clear, S: lemon pledge, lemon curd, some creaminess, a little grassy funk S2: grassy, elmers glue or chlorine - some chemcial component T: lemon-lime citrus, hint of that chemical again, long finish of grass/hay, sweet-ish, sprite-ish, lemon-lime, creamy R: It's okay.

Yellow apple, pear, lemon juice nose with hint of mushroom. Crescendoing butter (too much), yellow apple, m- acidity. Pretty bitter, clipped finish and a little hot. Pretty dull. Ok if you like the style.

Easy-sipping $14 value (Costco) California Chardonnay 2022 La Crema Sonoma Coast. Sharp mid-gold, viscous (13.5 alc.); tropical, peachy, lime nose; low-mid acids; mid body; decent fruit for the price; semi-long varietal finish. 14.5/87.

Peaches, yoghurt, pear, apples, pineapples, other tropical fruits, and some vanilla. Nice richness and acidity. Oakiness lingers for a little.

Inoffensive chard with modest butter and M- acidity, generic and pretty bland. In this price point you could do a lot worse.

Aromatic, buttery oak, yellow apple, creamed nut, pineapple, and citrus nose. Flavourful, toasty palate with good freshness to balance; dry, toasty finish.
3.5/5
