Deep, dark, reddish-purple garnet in color; almost opaque (mega-purple?). Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe dark fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty notes, spices, minerals, cocoa, smoky & vanilla/oak in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & currants with spices, herbs, minerals & a bit of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Quite accessible at present & appears to be made for the near term. As one commentator noted, not as rich as previous vintages. Flavors here appear to be a bit manipulated, but that appears to be standard with modern winemaking. Very good QPR for a Napa Valley single vineyard Cabernet at its price point but definitely not to be mistaken for an upper-level Cab; just a straightforward daily quaffer.

Interesting and flavorful, but not a great wine. Bacon fat, smoke extract, umami, plum, and a bit of red fruit. I'll either leave my other 2 bottles for years or pull them out to show an example of bacon fat in wine.

Not bad. I'm not sure why it's getting all the bad ratings; I've been drinking this over 3 nights, and every night, it gets better. Typical dark fruits and some berries Under $18 you can't go wrong

Overall: I feel like this is down relative to years past. I remember prior vintages being a bit richer at this earlier stage. This wine seems a touch thin, and the fruit is already hidden on the palate. It’s balanced, though, so might improve with some age.
Appearance: deep purple, not quite totally opaque
Nose: Quince, blackberry, some floral notes, some greenness (like jalapeño), touch of leather
Palate: medium-light body, medium-high tannins, medium-high acid. Reminds of some Xinomavro or Langhe Nebbiolo I’ve had in the past. Cherries, cranberries. Not much in the way of cassis or chocolate. Touch of baking spices hidden in the background.
Finish: long, dry, some the green shows up but it’s more herbal than bitter

This was far better than prior reviews would indicate. It's rather fruit forward, but has depth aplenty. a nice under-$20 quaff.

14.5% abv
Cherry, strawberry, cocoa. Lifted acidity. A little hollow on the mid palate. Not heavy RS like the oakville cab. Fair value for the money.
