  • A bit on the darker side, more blue fruit than red fruit. Weight is medium to full bodied but still conveyed some sense of place. Notes os Asian spice, wood/stems, coupled with layers of red and blue berry notes.

  • Being my first Vosne-Romanée Pinot, I have very little reference only to add "first impressions" , very light on the palate, little to no tannins, almost felt watered down. All striking when placed next to California. Nice dark color in the glass, the words soft and mellow come to mind. Not unenjoyable, rose petals with a hint of tobacco when first opened but never to be seen again. Not much finish.

  • Very pretty, medium-bodied, not terribly concentrated, and the finish is not that long. Drinking well now. Nice, elegant but not too memorable.

  • (at Aureole Bar – NYC) Red / purple. A fairly big village that has a creamy texture and ripe pinot fruit profile. While fruit driven now, there seems to be hints of earth and spice underneath that may show up in time. However, there is no harm in drinking now . Very good, if not special (though the price is pretty special). (88)

  • Very enjoyable and actually better on the second day. I guess this is quite a good bang for the buck if you enjoy this Domaine's style (like me). It's hard to find a more interesting and complex V-R in the $30-35 zone. Can easily go a couple or even a handful of more years before it peaks. 90+

  • This is Vosne all the way and drinking on the high side of its potential. Great body and balance and lovely rose petals. Recommended.

  • The look is in line with young pinot, the nose is exuberant violet flowers with some eucalyptus and fresh lemon hints. the first pallet is soft, well balanced. The finish reveals tinny tannins and minerals that undermine a great aging potential. Definitely is worth buying to age it and to monitor its evolving complexity.

  • I tested 2005 last few months and it's not ready to drink. Today I hope the 2006 should be nice as same as NSG 2006, testing upon released.

Oh ! yes, it's too good to be true. 1st nose hints a Gamay aroma then changes into Arnoux's style, seductive nose of good Pinot Noir.

Lovely full-bodied, not many in details but very delicious...good for the one who want to start drinking Burgundy.

The finish is deep and powerful enough to get 91-92/100.

Do we really need the expensive and not ready to drink 2005 ?

    Let's go for a ride in the wonderful 2006 vintage...IMO, it's not great but it's good+great...Trust me !!!
