Pale straw in color, yeasty nose & palate, good minerality, creamy finsih... very French tasting actually. A touch of apple and lemon, but not a ton of fruit or acid. Drinking well right now -- very good wine.

Weekend Wine with Summer Part II; 9/17/2010-9/18/2010 (Las Vegas, NV): Great nose of yeast, fresh orchard apples, vibrant pears, and some almond paste. Very fresh bead in the wine and bright acidity throughout. The palate offered sumptuous asian pears, apples, and crushed rocks. Frankly, this is a great domestic Brut and I'm happy that it's available locally for ~$30. Definitely will buy again.

Nice drinking sparkler. Significant yeast on the nose and palate. Decent fruit, strawberry , some hints of citrus. Fairly crisp acidity, a bit tart on the palate and a tad bitter on the finish. This was drinking pretty nicely, lacking just a bit due to a slightly "off" finish.

Very nice bottle with pear, apple, dough and minerals on the nose. Great acidity and the dough note is the most present on the palate and finish. Drinking really well right now.

Very nice last night with dough, minerals, pear and apple on the nose. Good acidity and full of life. Dough is the main palate note but is surrounded by floral, minerals, sour apples and pear. Medium finish.

Spice, chalk and minerals dominate the nose. On the palate this wine picks up some strawberry and spice quality. Medium finish and a nice everyday Sparkler.

Bursting with bubbles, citrus, and Asian Pear on the tongue. Only slight yeast with green apple in the middle. Citrus and chervil on the finish, nice acidity. This is an excellent wine for pairing with food, especially shellfish (it paired equally well with Oysters Rockefeller tonight and a few months ago, another bottled paired well with roasted chicken). This one of the best "champagnes" from the west coast. Drink now through 2013.

Compared to all of the other tasting notes, this was not the same wine. This was tart, short, and very astringent in the mouth. It wasn't corked, just seemed like 10 years might straighten it out but I'm glad I only had the one bottle. We had really high hopes for this and were very disapointed.

Bright pale yellow with a dense lasting mousse. Doughy aromas and superb bubble action. An elegant specimen yielding excellent fruit concentration, dough and yeast with a savory finish.

The Schramsberg is a delightful wannabe Champagne and the blanc de noirs is even better than the blanc de blanc, in my opinion, with hints of apricots and strawberries on the nose followed by citrusy, crisp, refreshing notes on the tongue.

Anita: Wow! Lighter, more delicate floral nose than the BdB, but beaut. notes of strawberry-rasp; fragrant flowers, touch of white cake; mth is creamier, a bit more complex, fruit and min. mix, w/a long finish. Just great stuff. Side by side w/the BdB; Val, B&T.

I agree completely with Mrbuzz' review. This was truly excellent. Very clean and crisp, enough citrus without being too acidic, apple and spice. Didn't get much yeast. Very good stuff.

medium gold color. nuts and strawberries on the nose. crisp, yet full on the palate, with strawberry cream, dried cherry, toast and hazelnut flavors and a long finish. quite a rich blanc de noirs. 13.1% alcohol and there's 15% chardonnay in this as well.

Man was this good! First of all, a beautiful bottle and color. Light crisp bubbles, lot of mousse, perfect balance of yeast, dry mineral, citrus acidity, creamy pear, apple, and some cherry. Nice kick with a little ginger and spice as well. Super domestic sparkler...might just be the best I've had!

Once a funky note blows off (experienced the same note with two separate bottles, and it wasnt TCA), this shows intense strawberry notes and a bit of bread dough.

Hard to rate this one accurately. Made mimosa's with it.
They were yummy with the CA orange juice and the yeasty Blanc de Noir.

Very smooth mouthfeel with a subtle creaminess. Flavors of apple, pear, and a little strawberry. Soft finish. Should pair well with scallops and fish.
