Paul grabbed this from the close out bin as a flier. Jackpot. I was very surprised and impressed with this bottle. Color has a real dark bronze hue which raised an eyebrow or two. Fairly heavy weight but not flabby. Warm Christmas type spices and yellow Apple fruit. Oak notes just added to the warmth.

Been some time since I drank a CA chard with this much age on it. This bottle showed up at a dinner and it was chilled, right to glasses. Little bronzing starting to occur, the wine is throwing some honey notes, along with apple and baker pear. All together, is hanging right in there and drinking solid at almost 10 years old. Enough acidity still here to keep it fresh and given the honey and smoothing of the wine now, I would recommend enjoying it now if you have one in your cellar.

The nose had buttered popcorn and apple, spice and citrus, and a little stone. The palate had butter and citrus, apple and spice, and a mineral finish.

Light gold color...still with that hint of a light green backing. Bright nose of wandering fruit accented by sweet citrus components. Crisp and clean entry with a good fruity grip at mid palate where it peaked leaving a subtle finish.

I have drank this wine before, recently in fact, so I had a sense of what to expect. The wine showed as it did last time, with a lemon curd/bar quality, along with pineapple and tropical fruit. There is a good dose of oak that seems to still cloak the wine and so perhaps when/if that sheds, the wine's fruit can come more forward. More and more, I seem to be leaning back away from chardonnay with wood, towards the leaner, more crisp style. This Lucia is good and will appeal to the more forward style.

Very well made food friendly chardonnay. The Pisoni family has delivered a chard that has aromas of pear, citrus and minerals. Well balanced in the mouth with gentle acidity and a touch of oak to season the wine. Nice silky finish.

OC Breakfast And Pinot Offline (The Murray's): Lemom custard, yellow apple and some coconut. Drink with a bit of chill unless you want to experience some of the new oak that fleshes through when the wine warms.

From what I understand, this is a Pisoni second label but the quality here is on par with a lot of top notch chardonnay from the same area. This is quite a big chardonnay with 14.5% alcohol listed on the label but it comes off as if it were a little higher. However, it is masked well by a strong oak influence mixed with good fruit, depth and length. Chilling it down a bit also will take a little of the edge off. Overall quite well rounded for a big wine.

Light gold with a hint of green with the nose showing some melon, a little ripe stone fruit, citrus components and a light nuance of floral backing as it warmed in the glass. Firm fruit structure and grip that had a slight edge and a medium finish that ended with a nice twang...the kind that makes you want to take another sip.

Wonderful chardonnay, sort of Newton unfiltered like. Can't wait to taste more of their chards.
