Paul grabbed this from the close out bin as a flier. Jackpot. I was very surprised and impressed with this bottle. Color has a real dark bronze hue which raised an eyebrow or two. Fairly heavy weight but not flabby. Warm Christmas type spices and yellow Apple fruit. Oak notes just added to the warmth.

Been some time since I drank a CA chard with this much age on it. This bottle showed up at a dinner and it was chilled, right to glasses. Little bronzing starting to occur, the wine is throwing some honey notes, along with apple and baker pear. All together, is hanging right in there and drinking solid at almost 10 years old. Enough acidity still here to keep it fresh and given the honey and smoothing of the wine now, I would recommend enjoying it now if you have one in your cellar.

The nose had buttered popcorn and apple, spice and citrus, and a little stone. The palate had butter and citrus, apple and spice, and a mineral finish.

Light gold color showing nice textures of varied citrus and tropical notes on the nose...clean, crisp, and a fruit forward palate.
