Bright straw colored and 14.2% ABV. Great nose of lemon oil, pineapple and spice. Rich and nicely textured with just the right amount of acidity. Apple, pears, marzipan, minerals and more lemon on the palate. The finish is perfect. Drink over the next year or two.

Medium-bright yellow color. Aromas of pineapple, mango, vanilla, and spiced pear. The palate is full of lemon rind, pineapple, spicy oak notes and leads into a long finish that has plenty of flashy oak showing. This is not for the oak averse, but is nice in the style. Holding, but probably not improving for my tastes. Drink.

Tasted right after a 2006 DuMol Chloe. This was nuch leaner in a good way with less overt oak, but felt it was still there. Butterscotch dominated the initial nose and never really let go, although it did subside.

Bright straw color. Tart lemon, pineapple, and mango aromas. An initial blast of lemon rind on the palate is followed by a bitter mid-palate that leads into a long, tart finish that has some bitter vanilla notes. The bitter citrus rind elements here distract right now, but could evolve into something interesting given the acid in this wine. Some lingering heat and oak on the long finish detract as well. Air helps the fruit come out, but the wood is ever present. Decant or hold?

Pale greenish gold. Ripe fruit, apricots, peaches, on the nose. On the palate quite viscous and rich but with reasonable balancing acidity; stilll very California and drinking quite nicely at age 5. Misses a higher score because of less aromatic and palate complexity, largely more acidity, which would enliven this.

Apricot, honey, white flowers, apple skin and a little planky oak. Graceful and delightfully integrated on the palate. Sound acid, smooth finish. A little reserved but beautifully melded.

not your everyday, run of the mill calichard, yet distinctly domestic. frankly, i don't know how well i like these single vineyard rochiolis because i'm rather new to the list, but they are different. seems like the oak treatment is lighter, and the fruit not as ripe. not a bad thing. i need to stay away and see how some age changes them/allows for development. NR, but that isn't a slam, i'm just undecided.

Lemony spice nose, light palate with a nice level of acidity. Well done and not over the hill

In my view, it's time to drink. Soft oak, and not your typical cal chard. Very enjoyable.

Drinking great now no need to wait on this chardonnay. Lots of flavor and the finish that goes on for a long time. A beautiful chardonnay to treasure.

Simplest of all the single vineyard chards from Rochioli. Still very good!

Ridiculously good. Oak was lighter than most younger Rochioli chards.
