While others have suggested this might be over the hill, this bottle was excellent. Lots of herbs and berries, plum, and some other complexities. Long finish.

Opened at restaurant. My last bottle of this wine. Past it’s prime. Still enjoyable, but not what it was. Definitely, should have had this bottle a few years ago. I rated this for what it was, not now, since I waited too long.

Dried berries, herbs, a bit of earth, and a core of currants. Nice wine clearly showing a bit of age but based on the tannin structure clearly has time to go still. Drink or hold.

Garnet color in the glass, a little dusty looking. Nose of tobacco, black berries, red currants and wet stones. Flavors of berries, currants and cherries. Bright acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.

Popped, decanted, and poured. Dark red color with a beautiful nose. A little rough upon opening, but by the second glass, smoothed out, with a lot of red fruit character, and a medium-length finish. I think in another year, the wine will be at it's best.

Profile Portfolio Tasting (Liberty Grand, Toronto, Canada): Medium ruby colour with garnet flecks. Ripe nose of plum, cherry, and currant. Medium-to-full bodied. Everything is surprisingly in check/balanced considering the heat of the vintage. Good acidity and freshness with little-to-no roasted fruit notes. Attractive finish. Drink 2010+.
