Sampled 6/26/10. The wine has surpisingly softened noticeably in the past 10 months and is at peak. A lush and dark Zin (along the lines of a Turley - without the alcohol) with plenty of black fruits, some red fruits and sweet vanilla Oak. A lovely wine that is probably best over the next couple years.

Ken and Kelly over for dinner/spades IV: I enjoyed this more when I tasted it at the winery. This was a little too over the top for me this time. Lots of very ripe fruit with some spice. Reminded me of a Turley actually. This was Kelly's WOTN and my least favorite.

Nice zin on a relaxing night.. not for the faint of heart though... The balance goes to the fun side... a sip or two left after two days opened.. will see where it is at tonight....

I thought this wine was fantastic - we opened at just over cellar temp and did not decant. We drank it slowly over the course of 3 hours with dinner and desert. The wine really opened when in the glass and warmed a bit - veggy (cucumber) and herbal notes along with dark fruit on the nose. I loved the balance and while keeping key zin notes like plum fruit and white peppar hint on finish I thought it had unsual depth and integration with other earth and sweet elements; medium-long finish.
