Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine.
A bit from memory. Crisp but not too sharp. This one had a little more fruit than the last one, although one would not describe it as fruity by any means.

This may be the best $22 white wine I've had. It followed a '10 Picq Vosgros. While this didn't have quite the density of it's younger Premier Cru brethren, it made of for it with complexity of age and verve. Gilbert Picq knows Chablis. Always up there with my favorites. I've never had a premox bottle, and in fact, have never had a bottle that wasn't spectacular.

I drank this over a few days, without much change from day 1 to day 2. Crisp and sharp -- citrusy to be certain as others have noted. No round/rich enough for me. I did not catch much fruit in the bottle I drank.

Excellent value Chablis. Beginning to take on positive characteristics of age. In the balance of fruit versus minerals in Chablis, this is tilted a bit towards fruit, but still minerality. Oak? I doubt there is much if any. Either old barrels or stainless steel.

Solid classically styled Chablis. Gold. Nose somewhat muddled - cider, flowers, paraffin. Light body and absolutely loaded with lime slate and minerals. Very long and refreshing finish. Excellent value.

Straw yellow. Nose of sweet lemons, oranges and papaya. The bit of age has added a ripeness to the fruits here. Guava, candied leon zest, orange, key lime, and pineapple. A medium finish and a rich oily mouthfeel.

This is a very nice opening level Chablis. Minerals and white grape with a bit of apple. This is not a fruit driven wine. It actually reminds me of some of the minerality and weight of a Meursault, different from the minerality of a higher level chablis, with the oyster shells not being here. The finish is moderate.
The took on weight as it took on air. If you can, give this 30-60 minutes of air in advance.
We bought this at Posner's annual portfolio tasting a few years ago. Josh Raynolds and my wife both agreed this was the best of the base level Chablis, but there was a question of how it would develop. So far, it's doing fine.

Seems to have settled in nicely after my so so experience in December of 2010. Again, I don’t think that this will ever carry structural character of classic Chablis, but I like how the wines forward leaning combination of ripe pear and chalk dust settles in on the palate. Hard to imagine a better Villages Chablis than this bottling in any given vintage.

Another good showing. More yellow/golden than clear on the palate, slight vanilla on the first night, but also wooly Chablis notes and good Chablis texture, true to its origins. Very good on the second night, the minerals have emerged and the wine continues to show good Chablis typicity. No degradation into the third night, which is when the wine really impressed Deborah (again) to the point where few wines have lately.

On the first night, a distinct honeyed quality to the palate, more Chenin than Chardonnay. This wine was enjoyed over the course of five nights, with zero degradation, and over those five nights the honey receded and the minerals emerged.

Deb really enjoyed this wine a few months back and I went and bought the last five bottles from the source. While I was not as impressed with that first bottle as she was, this most recent bottle showed very well. The darker golden color suggests that this is Chablis with some age, reinforced by the fruit on the palate that is more golden than clear. The acidity in this most recent bottle is soaring, and the minerality is also strong, both of which give this wine notable length on the palate and finish. Drinking very well now. I would not hold this wine for much longer.

Pop and pour. Pale gold color. The nose just screams fresh lime and a hint of thyme. Had my nose in this glass for extended periods of time. Juicy citrus flavors attack the mid palate. Mostly lemon and lime with a hint of orange peel zest. Wonderful weight, the acidity just brightens in your mouth. Lengthy finish brings back the herbal components and some intriguing mineral and rocky aspects.
We focused this on a semi-schizophrenic cheese course. The acidity helped this perform brilliantly even with full bodied cheeses at room temperature.

Opens up with verve and panache; electric fruit but with time some salinity, minerality and a light note of well and cobble stone and faint smoke develop. A solid chablis that is leaving its primary phase but could use more time to integrate its acidity and develop a bit more depth. 89-91 points on the top end. I hope this won't be afflicted by premox as I'd like to hold and see how the rest progress over the next 3-5 years.

Hard to believe this is a Villages Chablis, with its precise citrus flavors and exotic scents (banana/pineapple) on the nose. Great depth, fat and sappiness.

Lovely lemon-yellow, fresh, citrus and grass nose. Clean, mineral, and flint. Top notes of citrus fruits. Some kiwi, green grape. Perfect match for fish -- nice value -- summer house white.

Terrifically racy, lithe, and pure. Did not get "chubby" or the "wood" or "smoke" notes that some have noticed. Lots of lemon/lime (not pear), minerals, green apple, slight sea salt, a bit of dirt. Can't compare with other vintages, but this rocks. (pun intended)

A nice Chablis. Apple, lemon, chalk, saline, and vanilla on the nose. Honey, lemon, gravel, pear, and seashells on the palate. Short finish. Agree with Dale's note about the wood on the nose and palate. Went well with herbed roasted chicken and shrimp salad.

After ripping through or 5 bottles of the 06 version of this Villages wine, I was eager to pounce on the Garagiste offer for the 07 earlier this summer. In short, while this is a fine enough drink of Chablis, it falls far short of the nervy tension and steel like precision of the preceding vintage. Somewhat shy nose, this seems to carry a bit of wood on the nose and palate, with an almost chubby feel of apple and pear flavors wrapped in a vanilla oak spice frame. Only does the back half and finish reveal a decent mineral drive, giving us a hint as to its true origin. Thankfully, Tanzer’s report on the 08’s seem to put this Domaine back on track for that nervous, mineral driven Chablis that they certainly are capable of producing, and I do so enjoy drinking.
