not as aromatic as last time, but the room temp was a bit low, around 18C. Tannins were silky, but somehow detect a bit of nail polish which spoiled the fun, normally it would go away after some time but this time this lingered for quite some time. Still a very enjoyable bottle nevertheless.

Surprisingly developed with initial aromas of stewed vegetables, mushrooms and wet earth. Comes around after a while and on the whole a nice wine. Would drink sooner, rather than later though.

Developing nose with medium(+) intensity. Loads of prunes, raisins, dried cherry, espresso, old wood, moist forest floor and decaying leaves. Not much grape and/or origin characteristics.
Bone-dry, medium(+) bodied with medium acidity and medium(+) but kind of soft, tannins. Medium(+) intensity of flavors with mostly prunes, raisins and oak. A bit too heavy and lacks freshness.
Doubtless a good wine if you're into the style but personally I think there's much better ways to craft the noble Nebbiolo. Drink now through 2020.

Detta är skitgott!! Perfekt mognad, laktris, mentol, rosenträdgård och knastertorra tanniner. Lite burgundisk i sin framtoning men med ett gott bett i tandköttet utan att det för den skull känns för strävt! I mitt tycke mitt i drickfönstret! Som det är nu matchar det mat såsom kalv med kantarellelsås grymt! 2004orna leverererar för tillfället! Spara inte längre om ni vill ha vinet till mat!

Second bottle posed much more classic Barolo concentration and precise structure, signature balance of fruit vs alcohol. No hint of aged, tiredness though some dilution on second day. Inky, heavy purple tannins though no impact on taste. Lovely.

Like the 2005, consistent profile of fruit intensity and concentration. Slight hint of over-extraction thereafter, but not to the extent of making this undrinkable. An hour in it started to fade and had that slightly fortified quality that marks reds in their twilight.

Drank over 3 hours. It took a while, but the nose eventually revealed ripe, dried red fruits and dried flowers. Initially I thought this was cooked because the fruit seemed raisined, but over time it round out to more red fruit, some blue fruit, lots of plum, dried flowers and wood spice. Short and fairly tannic finish. Pleasant with food.

Brunrød farge.
Mye alderspeg med skogsbunn, på lukt.
Mørke bær på smak. Kraftig. Relativ lang. Litt tanniner.

Finally no cherries on the nose, instead....white chocolate? Tiramisu? Nice fruit but tannic and needs time. Fruit hiding for now.
