This isn't going to blow anyone away, but at $20/bottle it was a great buy. Really nice to have a weekday wine with such age and complexity. Red fruit still going with plenty of classic cab franc notes.

Largely consistent with previous note; last bottle from a Garagiste purchase. This bottle was still pretty drinkable but a bit more flat than I remember the last one being. Fruit is definitely on the subtle end now. Would drink up if you have any.

Loved the metallic and brambly and blue fruit nose. Palate was interesting but complete lack of tannins made this overly soft and flat. Would have liked to try it 5 years ago. A fine experiment for $20 from Garagiste

This was puzzling. I’d say half the flavor was nicely aged franc and the other half was cork-ish taint. The first half kept me from tossing this down the drain but i kept it going more for the experiment than for the enjoyment. Drink this now if you still have any but beware!

Very mature Cab Franc, but still has some window left for drinking. Dark ruby color with lots of floral perfume on the nose. Well balanced, resolved tannins, loads of sour cherry/berries on the palate. Reviewer from two years ago said “austere” and that does capture it. Funny, but I expected an epiphany from a 20 year old wine. It was fine (with potato’s, peppers and kielbassa one night and a deep dish spicy pizza two afternoons later) but the skyrockets never really materialized. Glad I had it, and the $20 was fine—but far from my favorite wine...

Tasty. Subtle fruit with heavy earth. Lots of mineral and woody. What you expect from this wine. Just opened. Expect it to be quite different in a few hours and tomorrow. Still has some depth and could sit another year or two. A few I’ve had that were older seemed like i waited too long. This one seems ready.

Consistent with previous note. Opened for BBQ with Ruben's family. This is very well-balanced and smooth. It still has some fruit to balance the early and herbal notes, but it is definitely pretty advanced and not fruit forward. I liked the balance of this with food, but some might find it a bit austere. One left and should drink pretty soon I think

Russk. Freaking fantastic. The CDC wine of the night, brought by Andrea. 92++ points. Medium to light bodied. Barnyard and mineral on the mouth. The same night I have the 2009, which was of no comparison.

Decent QPR, not exactly my taste. Its maturity leaves it somehow a bit vacuous in the mid palate, too lithe with fruit but somehow hot, acidic and spicy (peppercorns).

Cork soaked through but wine is ok. Medium dark color with a bit of browning at the rim. Red and black berry fruit and very pronounced ballpoint ink, plus plenty of herbal notes, including something faintly minty. All of this plays out against a background of tertiary forest floor that is readily apparent, but doesn’t overwhelm the other elements. Good concentration and length. No tannins left; needs to be decanted for sediment. The best of the older Druets that I’ve tried.

Very nice bottle. Mature cab franc, purchased this year from Garagiste. Still has lively fruit along with lots of herbal character (typical of cab franc) and lively acidity. Goes well with food, and very enjoyable. Great value at $20.

Amazing perfumed nose of sous bois, dusty oak, worn leather, red fruit, and some floral notes. It pours a pale and cloudy red. On the palate, this is still very much alive and kicking, but with tons of secondary characteristics. I find this a very old school mix of of muted red fruit, heavy doses of oak, and dusty earthy notes. At 18 years of age, this has all come together quite nicely. Despite packing such a large punch, there is something floaty and elegant about the package. Highly recommend, but don't think this will get any better and would drink in the near future.

Really nice nose, with a distinct floral quality in addition to some red fruit and oak. Similar flavor profile, which was a bit off-putting (floral character really strong).

Scents of dusty rose petals, raisins, candied almonds and dank basement. Muted flavors of blood orange, cranberry, peach, raspberry and cinnamon. The finish is a lingering dustiness and mustiness. If the wine has muted fruit, bitter taste and musty flavors is it an aged Cab Franc or is it corked? To be fair, I've had wines corked far worse.

Fint utvecklat med massor av stall, läder och mognadstoner, men ändå med en bra syra och en hint av gröna cab franc toner därunder. Härligt vin, fullt drickbart nu men skulle även kunna lagras i många år till.

Beautiful nose with a lot of maturity, raisins, chocolate and old carton. Acidic cherries dominates the taste with raspy chocolate. Medium long. Great wine.

Russk. Austere, but soft. Earthy-bretty, but clean. A beautiful paradox. 92+.

Russk. Amazing again. A beautiful soft bretty bomb. I called it blind as an imposter [in a Rioja line up] and called it as a Loire CF.
