Open That Bottle Night. An excellent choice for the event. Another year or two and it would have been a bit too oxidized. This year, just a touch to add complexity. Preserved lemon notes, hints of vanilla. A few people had hints of something green. One person even thought there were hints of mint and tarragon.

Opens with a strong marshmallow aroma that remains dominant, though there are hints of orchard fruit and citrus underneath. Rich texture with flavors of apple, roasted nuts and stone with a nice finish. A bit more advanced than I hoped for. We're down to our last bottle which I'll plan on opening before the end of the year.

I really like this wine. Had a very long finish. Nose of fresh rain, pear. Nice acidity not to much. Great balance and complexity. We had this with lobster roll with bacon and the wine got better with the meal. I'm not sure I would hold much longer drinking nicely.

My last of these I am sorry to say. This wine is drinking well now. I would say it is at or near it's peak. Beautiful balance and plenty of bright fruit.

This had a distinct French oaky nose, light vanilla/baked apple with green melon, and lots of wet rocky minerality; medium round, medium full body. Creamy, easy to drink, lacking precision, a bit hedonistic, which is just what I needed tonight. Which herbs de provence seasoned chicken salad. Held up well 2nd night too. This really rounded out since last time I had this. If not for the oak showing through, 90.

This has a little grapefruit backed up by lemon cream pie in the nose and an undertone of raw almond, good steely minerals as well; the mouth is fairly lean for Meursault, focused, dry, and taught with citrus acidity; I get just a slight nuance of what I call "old woven basket". This went very well with braised chicken in a reduced wine sauce with celery and garlic. Nice, but fairly lean and citrusy for Meursault. Very food friendly. BH is spot on with his review of 90 pts.

Pale yellow color. Aromas of citrus, mineral and apple, hint of oak. Rich texture, with flavors of apple, mineral and oak. Medium plus finish dominated by mineral tones.

Pale yellow hue. What first appeared to be some oxidation on the nose blew off, turning into ripe exotic fruits as well as notes of ripe pears and smoke. On the palate, round fruit flavors of ripe fruit and citrus as well as some petrol and some surprising subtle minerality. This is a surpringly big meursault that struggles with balance. But no premox present just yet although it may be lurking. I'd be inclined to drink now.

Pale yellow color and surprisingly clear for non-filtered and no fining. Aromas of toasty oak (unpretentious), lemon, lime, apple, a slight touch of creme brulee. Creamy texture in the mouth and a finish of about 15-20 seconds.

Had this in Sarasota, FL with the parents and K. Very interesting contrast with the '05 Hyde Vineyard Patz & Hall chardonnay. Found it to be quite nice, a bit light, but not simply because it had less oak than the P&H. Good fruit, some pear.

Still young, lots of lime, has a creamy meursault texture and lots of expression and force but not so much complexity and finesse. I have my doubts this will integrate ... I'd give it 1,5 years to try again. A solid effort nevertheless.

The wine was served too cold, so only after a minute or ten it came round. Then it unfolded ripe, round tones. Many elements were there, but not (yet) fully integrated. Perhaps wait a year? But already enjoyable now.

Pale yellow in color with a subtle nose and initially -- 10-15 minutes -- quite tight. It began to open quickly and displayed a lovely fruit mix of green apple and pear with some nut. Acidity was on the high end of balanced, but this is a young wine.

Algemeen / potentieel: Wat mij betreft tè log. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 8 + Smaak / Afdronk: 13 + Algemeen / potentieel: 6 = 82/100

Impressively approachable. Aromatics are a bit tight right now, but offer a slighty floral, white peach, and mineral nose. Rich at first with stonefruit, vanilla, hints of spicy oak, and fresh cream. Acidity is soft at first, but finishes clean and refreshing alongside a burst of minerality. Very nice.

Out of 375ml. Not quite up to the '06 Puligny's, but still a great effort. Quite a bit more richness, as one would expect from Meursault, with an almost oily texture. Loads of minerality, both nose and palate, with stonefruit, lemon oil, and lemon verbeena. Acidity is nice, not over the top. Probably will round out in a few years in bottle, but very approachable now.
