Pale yellow in colour. Smoky on the nose, notes of spices, yellow stone fruit, melted butter, crushed stones - very complex and layered and just gorgeous. On the palate concentrated and powerful, but also fresh, mineral, vibrant. Exceptionally well balanced and very persistent. A wonderful bottle. 95-97

Having had something of a roller-coaster with leflaive 07s, I'm pleased to report this isn't oxidised. Toasted hazelnuts, some gentle caramel notes, nicely coiled through the midpalate but lacking in verve or energy to the finish. This is open and drinking and I wouldn't wait any longer, especially given problems with other bottles. All in all this is an enjoyable wine, albeit not really memorable or living up to its name. A little like eating a perfectly pleasant one star meal, at a three star (with three star prices....).

This is more like it. After a dissapointing Combettes 2012, I actually guessed the appellation here - always a god start!. This is a complete wine, rich, yet balanced with minerals, honey, citrus, Burgundy from the top shelf - and very easy to like. This will live on, surely, but the drinking window is open. #SøllerødKro #Tulle&Gerry

Tasted double blind. Incredibly balanced. Very nice salinity. Possibly even Meursault. No oak signature. So youthful I guessed younger than 2010. The balance could only be 2014 I said. When told it was older I guessed 07. But no way it could be Leflaive because all 07 Leflaives have been premoxed. It was Leflaive I was told. The balance made me immediately think of BBM. Which it was. A remarkable wine and delicious wine. Also the first not premoxed 07 Leflaive that I have had.
The person that brought it mentioned that this Leflaive was through the gray market and he felt that these bottles may be in better condition than the ones through the standard channels. Interesting food for thought.

Full bodied very complex fantastic wine. Nose with honey and anise which is balanced perfectly with a long finish with plenty off acidity. Palate with candid citrus flavors and minerals. Only at Grand cru level you can find such intensity and power in a white wine.

The 2007 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru was rich and heady with some liniment smells and a little too much butterscotch. It was a bit mealy but did have plenty of minerally structure and chewy dry extract on the finish.

From my fathers collection, well stored. The first one we tried need some air to come around so I actually decantd this briefly and let if come up from frige to cellar temperature. It seemed a deeper yellow (noted by others) but that was not reflected by any hint of oxidation on nose or palate. The cork was intact but stained throughout. This a bright and zippy wine with a fullness in the mouth that is just deliscious and one sip makes your immediately crave another... 94+, can not guess on ageability but I would tend to consume earlier rather than late (worried abut the cork)

1st bottle was oxidized. 2nd bottle had a sophisticated nose but somewhat dumb at this point. On the palate there was huge dry extract, packed with material and length. This is nowhere near ready but in 7-10 years this will be marvelous. Many commented on its Batard-like intensity.

The Wines Of Domaine Leflaive (Wally's Wine & Spirits - Los Angeles, CA): This is just so so great with very high toned and pure aromas of citrus, chalk, green fruits, honeydew, spices, oyster shell, and stalk. Dense but elegant and sexy with a great perfumed tone to the nose. Ultra supple on the palate with a dense fruit, acid, and mineral mélange throughout. The complex and powerful flavors consist of citrus, melon, stone, and a slight impression of green banana on the long finish. This is very pure with a staggering amount of fruit and stone density that remains effortless because of the texture and balance. While slightly raw at this stage I can only imagine how good this will be with age because of the quality of the fruit and overall balance of the wine.

Domaine Leflaive Dinner (Chicago, IL): A fat feel, but somewhat angular and not super giving. Tense, somewhat coarse structure. Somewhat disconnected in its youth. Still, very nice.

Burgundy and Barolo dinner - Krug, Raveneau, Giacosa, Monfortino, Mugnier and etc. (Capital Grille, Tysons, VA): Premoxed. Way too much creme brulee and no freshness. Way too dark as well.
