Weekly tasting group RWP #261: Leftovers (@ DJ): In the bouquet candy flavors, white and yellow fruits. On the palate yoghurt, butter milk, grapefruit, a bit salty and fat. Off bottle? No score anyway.

Ingen dårlig vin, men heller ingen spesiell opplevelse.

Clear lemon yellow color of medium intensity, Nose dominated by vanilla oak, pear and citrus. Palate had pears, citrus and gooseberries. Nicely balanced with medium plus acid. This wine was a nice medium finish. Nice touch of light oak and acid levels that keep you coming back for more. Outstanding

Just a bit more acidity in this bottle than I'd normally expect from a Montrachet, but still nice. Mostly clear, familiar chardonnay notes, with an extra hint of grapefruit.

Nice combination of acidity along with citrus and stone fruit. Slightly oily texture. Once the hard chill wears off, it smooths out pleasantly. Time to drink up.

In the nose nutty, oaky and little vegetable aromas. On the palate more attractive melon, apple, peach in a creamy texture. High acidity, med(+) body, long length.

Pale yellow, brilliant. Anise, pear, citrus nose. Quite sharp with acid until it warms. Light to medium body. Concentration and complexity are moderate. A couple years to improve, I'll wager. A little pricey.

Drank over 5 days. With some air this became outstanding with nice floral and mineral Puligny aromatics. The oak is a bit pronounced, but very stylish and well integrated. Not a heavy weight wine, but offering some lovely drinking now. Was still alive and well on day 5, even if it didn't really improve after day 2.

App:Clear with med- intensity. Lemon green colour - very slight golden hint. Nose:Clean with med intensity. Developing. Quite round and spicey with toffee/butterscotch notes and limey citrus notes also. Palate:Dry with med acidity. Med- body, Med flav intensity with appley fruit and hints of lychee and melon. Very dry finish, med length. Conc:Good village Puligny but lacking the depth and toffee notes that these vineyards can do so well. Fresh and attractive but the nose promises more than the palate delivers. Enjoyable nontheless.

Nice is lightly perfumed, with apple and pear notes, honey, bits of floral and toffee. Palate not as elegant as the nose. Initially bitter showing lime/citrus and some apple/pear notes with some oak on the back end. Not bad. I wish the taste matched the nose, but it's not bad. Had this with some California rolls, lobster rolls, and some Italian truffle cheese. When quite well with the cheese.

App : Clear. Med intensity. Lemongrass colour. Nose : Clean. Med+ intensity - quite alive aromas. Developing. Classic Puligny with apple fruit and citrus hints. Toffee notes. Integrated oak adding depth. Fresh yet deep. Palate : Not as impressive. Dry with med acidity/alc. Med- body with Med flavour intensity. Med/Med+ length. Very appley fruit but quite restrained. Conc : Very restrained/backward. Maybe a bit tight? Fresh and enjoyable but not a gutsy Puligny at this stage and I suspect never will be.

Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Light nose of toast, florals and wet stones. Flavors of lime, a little yellow pear and a good base of minerals. Medium acidity, light to medium body. Drink or hold. 92?

Delicious. Really good purity and clarity; cylindrical palate, taut and focused with no fatness nor excessive oak to detract from the golden yellow fruit, minerals and bright acidity. Approachable now, with Puligny softness and a bit of exterior polish, the flavors are all on the surface and don't run very deep at this point. Deb liked this very much, too.

Slightly flaw by minimal cork influence. Apart of that not too shabby. Very much older Sauzet style which is fine to me.

Oxidized. The wine was fruity and structured and was fully drinkable, with aromas of caramel, chalky minerals and citrus, but most of all oxidation.

Fresh and sharp citrus fruit nose with some wet stones. Precise palate with very lively acidity and minerals at the end, very good but a tad short.

On the nose melon, citrus and some oak. Creamy, with nice acidity. Wellmade and mainstream Puligny. Paired well with chevre and honey.
