Medium Body. Mellowed fruit. Went well with cheese. Improved over two hours. Drink now. Not enough complexity or fullness to make into the 90 range, but a strong 89. Overall, nice agged bottle of wine.

Prune and pen ink on the nose. On the palate, plum, black cherry, and notes of currant, beef blood, and savory spice on the medium finish, with moderate tannins and strong acidity. This is in its drinking window, and it probably won't improve, but it should hold for several years - it was definitely made to age. This was a very good to excellent value at a little over $40.

Opened two bottles for pizza night and both corks were dry and broke. At first I bought one was corked, but it was just very tight at opening. Initially very dry, with a tannic grip, but it went with the bold flavors of the pizza. As time went on, the wine revealed a softer, red fruit medium body.

Roses flowers and lots of fowl feathers. Bloody rusty and v backwArd. Cool brambles. Herbs and backward dusty road. High toned Black sour cherries with black plums. Actually quite backward but authentic and relatively robust.

Coq au Vin and Wine (Pine Close): I liked this. Very southern European, a bit rustic, but plenty of charm. Nose showed lots of earth, some rose petals, violets, bloody iron notes and plenty of dark fruit - prunes and plums. Very nice. On the palate, slightly rustic tannins at the fore, but these have started to soften nicely, with ripe dark fruits, more plummy notes, black cherries, some macerated prunes and a little raisiny undertone spreading across the palate, along with some meaty notes flecked with bloody accents. Super fresh acid everywhere, attractive flowery violets floating around, and a bed of wet earth flowing below the whole palate - all coming together very nicely. Long finish had a nice dried grape sweetness to it and an undetow of dried herbs and spice. Quite yummy, very nice complexity and tons of character. It goes a treat with Coq Au Vin as well!

Chocolate on the nose, subtle red fruit, good acid and a little heat on the back end. Served with a spicy vegetarian lasagna. Perfect
