Spicy. honey-tinted oranges and lemons, with notes of flowers and spice on the nose and palate. Lush, round, and sweet, this is fully mature, with no reason to hold it any longer. Drink from 2022-2026.

Nutty, caramel, apricot pit, yellow apple, clean, still quite fresh, glycerin silky mouth, with a hint of cream soda. Really nice. Heritage Auction Blind Tasting at Jean-Georges Vegas.

I have never tasted this vintage of Haut Brion Blanc before. Sadly, now I know what I have been missing. At days before its 37th birthday, this is a beauty. Lush, round, full and rich, the ripe, sweet citrus and green apple show just a hint of honey. This tastes, smells and feels great. If you are lucky enough to own any bottles of this gem, pop that cork as this is probably at its maximum peak.

Nose has beeswax, honeycomb, and honeydew melon. Very oily nose, reminiscent of a '90 Chave Blanc a few weeks ago. Some light toast. Palate is just monstrous: huge sweet and savoury flavours, overripe pineapple, marmalade, and stonefruit with a big bouldery minerality. Smoke comes out after a long while. Very interesting.

My second bottle of this case. Find similarities to a well-aged Montrachet, or Salon without bubbles. Great acidity, long, laser-focused and not much show.

Flickinger "Significant Cellar" Tasting (Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Fresh aromas for its age, lots of lemon and grapefruit, just faint earthy hints. Same on palate, incredibly impressive start-to-finish.

"A Significant Cellar" tasting at Flickinger (Chicago, IL): Very musty nose, but underneath it all still strong hints of freshness. On the palate, quite acidic, and loads of minerality and sauvignon blanc freshness. Very suave texture.

Youthful straw color. Honey, flint, anise with hints of smoke on the nose. Well balanced and expansive mid palate with nice acidity that lingers into a very nice finish.

Tasted at Frascati. Outrageous nose of strong petrol over a beautiful dose of honey. From start to finish this wine has a dynamic tension between that mineral/petrol character and a complex sweet - almost d'Yquem - profile of honey, apricot, and sherry-flavors. This tension is more of a synchronizing than a disturbance and the wine harmonizes to become an awesome whole. Third time tasted in the last year with consistent notes. This is a wine that is worth the price of admission.

Medium yellow. A fine deposit is visible. Small non-descript nose. Good middle palate though. Waxy Sémillon texture but fairly short finish. Lacks excitement. Blah.

This was a flawed wine. Left it in the decanter for several hours and still was problematic. Just couldn't drink it.

Very pale. Smells like - water. Minimal flavor. Vapid. A dud. This should not happen.
