I enjoyed this wine because i loved the hint of pepper on the nose and tasting it, the pepper and other spices were there. Easy to drink and had a rather short finish.

A strong pepper aroma and a hint of blackberry. I almost want to sneeze after smelling this. It feels a little disjointed with some black fruit, pepper, and alcohol. I can drink this, but it isn't something I would recommend.

I've had several bottles of Cameron Hughes recently and was quite impressed. Those were a little higher price range ($15-$20). This one is definitely not as good. OK for the price, I suppose, but I won't buy again. A light wine tasting of strawberries and cherries, but with a funky, lower quality grenachey taste at the end (not a good funk). A bite on the aftertaste with some pepper and other harsh spices.

Color: beautiful deep purple. Nose: black fruit and licorice with a hint of black pepper. Taste: blackberries, strawberries (I know - a red fruit in there...) and plum. Very "fruit forward" profile. Mouthfeel: full bodied fruity feel. Very smooth with good balance. Overall: I really liked this effort. A great value - would seek out again.

GV. Those who don't know the background of Cameron Hughes should read up before they taste. Nice fruit balance. Opens interstingly and has a much smoother finish than what you might imagine.

Nice nose with a hint of pepper/spice. Taste is fruity, raspberry. Despite the label description, when I opened the bottle, I did not taste much pepper - all fruit. Now that it has been open about one hour, the pepper is a bit more pronounced. Good value wine.

Drincable, but thin, a nit harsh. I think this is the worse Cameron Hughes wine that I have had so far.

Thin and light. A good amount of dusty cherry plus some juicebox strawberry flavor. Some spice, but not what I would call delicious. Better with food.

Had bottle without food. Unbalanced, heavy alcohol taste on the palate. Probably better paired with food instead of alone.

Great value! Dusty cherries, purple color, silky tannins. Had with BBQ ribs, paired well. Great bottle to bring to a party.

Simple straight forward red Grenache fruit with licorice. I don't get it even at this low, low Costco price.
