I'll stick with what I said a year and a half ago for the wine description. It was better this time, especially on the first night, but slowly faded over a couple of days. Drink now; its not going to get any better.

Pepper, blackberry, and brandied cherry on the nose. Full body with dark fruit, but soft tannins. Medium to long finish. Enjoyable and can pair with many foods because of the soft finish. Good QPR.
It smells like Blackberry, Cherry, and Chocolate. It tastes like Burnt Match, Blackberry, Cherry, Mineral, Burnt, and Medicinal. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Long.
Pepper, plum and blueberry on the nose. Rich mouthfeel with (as others have noted) a good grip. Long finish that is (again as others have noted) a tad hot. I think this needs time.
Inky purple with some ruby when the light hits it right. Crushed blueberry, leather, and a hint of minty meat on the nose. Full bodied, plums, blackberries, black pepper, figs, spices, good acid, cedar, supportive tannins, and a long, slightly tart finish. Good now, could be better later.
Popped and poured. Inky dark color. Brambly blueberries, alcohol and wood on the nose. "Grip" on the palate is the most distinctive element; flavors indistinct. Thin finish. Wouldn't buy again.

Black color. Big peppery nose of black plum, coffee latte & some caramel elements. Very interesting nose. Lush entry of structured black plum flavors that flow into sweet, grippy tannins. Finishes a tad alcoholic, but OK.

This is a lot better than a previous one I tried. This is balanced, multifaceted, with a surprising sweetness. Delicious.

Claims to be cool climate syrah, but seems over extracted and one-dimensional to me. Drinkable though.
