14.5% abv. Modern-styled red, with loads of luxurious oak. This reminded me more of a modern St. Emilion than Cali Pinot as not much Pinot character was to be found. Based on the other notes here, the fruit has probably faded at this point and the oak is more emphasized. Otherwise, this is actually pretty enjoyable, with good balance and nice mouthfeel in a seamless package.

Took a couple hours to open up in the decanter, but when it did, it was a lovely match with a duck/pomegranate/citrus "salad". Didn't last long at the table.

Deep ruby color. Voluptuous nose of apricot, orange peel and red berries. Medium to full bodied on the palate, a touch hard through the middle but with presence.
