One gorgeous village level burg. Very precise flavors, acidity, finish, fruit, everything in balance. Took an hour to open, but afterwards a lovely example of Chambolle

Flowers, cherry, cranberry, wood and a hint of cinnamon on the nose. The cherry and wood flavors continue onto the palate, with some floral/earthy nuances in the background. A nice kick of spice on the finish. Nice wine, though a little thin. Would like a little more weight.

Sweet red fruit with a maple-y sweetness, savory animal notes, mineral character. Some sweet vanilla present but it's more than balanced by the other elements here.

An amazing wine. Perfectly balanced and inviting. Coquettish and silky. A very feminine profile that illustrates just how special burgundy can be. Bing cherries and slate flavors with a long finish. Floral notes throughout. Worked really well with my pan-seared scallops and smoked pork belly tortellini in a roasted plum tomato white wine sauce at Pierre's in Islamorada. Drinking great now. My WOTY so far in 2012.

Knockout, pure, focused Chambolle nose of red fruit with noble overtones of anise, violet and mint. Lovely, delicious and delicate in the mouth with great acid-fruit balance. As the wine opened, aromas and flavors pedaled steadily northeast toward Morey. Terrific stuff, and a shame that Burguet lost his lease.

Winery: Strawberry; very silky, briliant red-ruby; tons of fraise du bois, w/earth, elegant fine t’s, extremely nice.
