Decanted 1/2 hr. The wine is garnet with medium legs. There is moderated sediment in the bottle. There's black currant (cassis) and blueberry in the nose. It tastes like dark plum, dark berry, and (initially) of a bit of iodine. The it is medium bodied with a smooth finish. i'd drink up.

Decanted 1/2 hr. The wine is garnet with medium legs. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. There's black currant (cassis), blueberry and bloody meat on the nose. It tastes like dark plum, blueberry, and rare meat. The body remains medium/full with a smooth moderate finish. A bit simple, though still evolving.... Nice food wine with meat.

92 pts

Dark red with orange ring in the glass and lots of sediment in on the bottle side. Ripe fruit with excellent balance and sweet tannins. Focused with medium -long length and pleasant finish.

This wine is nowhere near its end, black/red fruits, slight vanilla and spice. Still a nice balance of the fruit with acidity and tannins, this is a refined wine though southern and lots of sun, there is still a decent amount of freshness!

Very nice wine, in a good drinking window. Nose not terribly old world or impressive. Very lush black and blue fruit with a bit of zest on the back of the tongue Long finish. Would put up against similar priced Carlisle or Turley wines.

Quite acidic right out of the bottle, though settles down after a couple of hours. Red fruit, tangy, some smoke and leather. Nothing faded thouh does feel still a bit too acidic for my taste.

Decanted 1/2 ht. The wine is garnet with medium legs. There is light sediment in the bottle. There's black currant (cassis), cherry and bloody meat on the nose. It tastes like dark plum, dark berry, and rare meat. The body is medium/full with a smooth moderate finish. I don't take a firm position on its aging, but I suspect it'll last longer than the projected "drink date" of 2018.

this remains quite tannic and not especially open for business, even on night 2. Still quite dark and and dense fruit that gives some love but I will leave my final bottle for several more years

I opened this under less than ideal temperature conditions (it's been very warm and I don't have air conditioning), but I also think it's at an awkward spot in its development right now and I would have preferred it with more age. The finish came off as particularly disjointed, but there was something in the lingering aftertaste that hinted at potential that I would have liked to see realized.

Excellent.

Slightly sharp on opening. Decanted for 1 hr. Wine opened up considerably, medium bodied wine, smooth finish on the palate, very pleasant nose, matched very nicely to cheeses and homemade breads we were eating. Will let other bottles sit at least one more year before opening. 91 pts.

I really enjoyed the nose which started quite animal with garrigue notes. Some nice red fruits underneath. The wood is still present with cedar notes and from time to time gives a Bordeaux touch to this wine. The palate here is just totally closed. I could not get anything. Very hard, even after 2h in the decanter. But you can still sense the freshness in the wine which is a good sign (as I had many '06 from the region pretty heavy) To revisit in 5 years.

Popped and poured. Nose that is a hypothetical blend of Northern and Southern Rhone with a kiss of vanilla. Dark fruits, herbs, and spices on the palate. Long fine grained tannins and a balanced finish. Very classy.
