Tertiary flavors of dirt, mushroom and sherry that evolved into wax and honeysuckle over time. Angular and mineral with good acidity. Long on the palate. Very nice champagne.

Austere for first couple hours but still displaying great acidity balance for 28 year-old wine. After two hours, more of the coffee and hazelnut began displaying.

A bit disappointing, but perhaps hard against Krug Clos du Mesnil 1985 and Krug 1990... With hindsight, should have opened at least 2h prior to tasting. At the end, the empty glass smelled wonderful!

Gold in color with little to no bead. Absolutely intoxicating aromas of biscuit, hazelnut and coffee which come through to the palate within a firm, full, balanced structure. Broad shouldered but elegant champagne in a class by itself. To not pair this with food would be a disservice to both the wine and the drinker. Long long finish. A true experience.

Incredible prune and apple cider notes, hints of hazelnut. Very fine bubbles still almost 40 years later. Enjoyed at Positivo with Ty and Jim.

Beth's BDAY (Our house): Great color, yeast, sharp finish, delightful with muted evervescent on the palate

From an excellent looking bottle, this wine displayed light bubbles and a deep yellow center. The nose featured lemons, caramel, and almonds.
This Champagne was medium bodied with lovely acidity and length. However, the flavors on this bottle were a bit woody/over-mature for my taste.
