  • When young this wine was tough and unyielding, rather bitter to enjoy. Now it is has become fabulous. Not as sweet and apricoty nor as full bodied as other white Hermitage but it has an understated power and appeal. Ηas aromas of bergamot, chamomile. Very clean on the palate, with low acidity it surprised me how well it handles lemon on the food (I had with grilled Scorpion fish in olive oil and lemon). A great wine to pair with lobster.

  • Consistently good, ageing has done good to this wine.
    My last bar one bottle.

  • Exceptional white wine.
Aromas of apple, quince, orange and tangerine on the nose while high alcohol is perceptible.
On the palate it is medium to full bodied, with low acidity, very round and utterly compelling. Long clean finish.
Would merit even higher score if the alcohol was better integrated.

  • Great wine, getting better all the time.
It now seemed fresher and positively not at all oxidative compared to
    the last bottle.

  • Light golden colored.
Nose is intense and complex with a fine bouquet from the start.
Wild flowers, esp. chamomile dominate - amazing purity! Also aromas of pear, orange peel, bergamot, quince and peat appear. In the mouth it has acquired a creaminess which is counterbalanced nicely by tangier peat-like flavors. A slight oxidative note on the mouth just adds to the complexity of this wine. Long and cleansing finish despite low acidity and slightly (just slightly) warm alcohol. A rare wine with personality, refinement and class, something beyond the ordinary.

  • Medium golden with an orange hue and a very slight haziness. Nose is intense. First whiff reminiscent of appfelsaft. Nose is slightly oxidative in character and alcohol is evident which is not a very nice thing. Despite the imperfections nose is complex, rare and has a rustic finesse. Aromas of orange peel, quince, white fleshed fruit, almonds and some sweet spice like vanilla complement the main aromas. Palate is quite full, round, with low acidity and yet the wine wine is balanced because of high extract and a bitterness which takes the place of acidity. Alcohol is the only element that sticks out. Flavours in the palate include orange peel, cut apple and marzipan. Complex, nuanced and with flavours not often encountered this is a very interesting if flawed wine. A nise way to remedy the excessive alcohol is to decant this wine for a few...days.

  • Slightly hazy gold. Expressive and alcoholic nose offering intense ripe fruit (apricot & pears) along notes of oxidation(cider) that contribute to complexity with no overt oak influence. Rich and thick on palate with low but balancing acidity, full body and long mid-palate. Concentrated, pehaps with some imperfections(mostly warm alcohol of 15%) but overall unique with a real personality. Persistent marzipan-like aftertaste and excellent ageing potential.
