Another great showing from 2008. Classic Pycm. Lots of citrus fruit flavours. Still very linear and very precise. Touch of matchstick on the finish. If I had some more, I would hold for another few years to become more relaxed.

During a tasting. Medium yellow. I very much liked the mineralic, citrus fruit nose with flowers and a touch vanilla. Medium-full bodied with excellent freshness. A really grand Chard.

Open and explosive mineral-driven aromatics of crushed stone, flintstone, smoke, slate, some citrus, sweet spices and also a touch of hazelnut and butter. It's medium+ bodied with still pretty high acidity. Long and mineral-driven finish. Beautifully aged Chassagne-Montrachet from this cooler Cru and vintage. The house-style of PYCM comes through in spades.

Pure lemon colour. Bright chewy fruit, peaches, grapefruit, lemon zest and a lick of very fine french oak. Has meshed nicely, all in balance, harmonious. Has nice mid-palate intensity but perhaps a little lighter on the finish, not short just not resonating either. Drinking nicely now.

Sydney Burgundy Celebration (Sydney, Australia): Grapefruit, coconut and lime. Rich fruit on the palate, it is very persistent, though you have to be happy with a fair dose of oak to drink it now.

very open for business. linear and clean on the palate, but shaken off that piercing acidity and focus PYCM has when young.

Burgundy Tasting (Ivy, George Street, Sydney): Slight cork taint, peach, cream, wet stone and touches of citrus. In the mouth the corkiness is more dominant. FLAW

Lighter and lacking intensity. Tasty, but not inspiring.

Lemon and pear light oak taste leads to unusually long subtle buttery finish
