Tasting extremely good right now !! I agree with my previous tasting notes. Sadly, this was my last bottle of this vintage. The cork was dry after over a decade in the bottle, but I managed to extract completely. Consumed over two days, showing well both days. Aromas of red raspberry and pomegranate, flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir from Cargasachi Vineyard in the Santa Barbara County. The acidity of this wine makes it age worthy and has more years of life left. A great fruit source from a fabled vineyard in Santa Rita Hills and a great winemaking effort from Adam Lee and Ryan Zepaltas.

Tasting really good right now !! Perfect cork after a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days. As always, this balanced wine showed more fruit on the first day albeit a little tart at first. Fortunately after an hour this wine really started to shine. On day two this balanced wine had softened with increased depth and integrated complexity. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and cranberry. Flavors of bing cherry, raspberry, and black tea with a hint of marine minerality. This Pinot Noir has a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir from Cargasachi Vineyard. The acidity of this wine makes it age worthy and has more years of life left. A great fruit source from a fabled vineyard in Santa Rita Hills and a great winemaking effort from Adam Lee and Ryan Zepaltas.

Perfect cork after a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days, fruit more predominant on the first day. Softened depth and integrated complexity on day two. Deep ruby color with little to no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of cranberry, rhubarb, and fresh black cherries. Flavors of bing cherry, raspberry, and strawberry compote with a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir from a fabled vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills. This age worthy wine may have more years of life left. Great fruit and a very good effort.

Drunk over a couple of days, quite enjoyable but not for those with a burgundian palate. Dark in the glass, almost cherry black. Sweet vanilla, cherry spice and earth on the nose. The palate is dominated by black cherry, blackberry with spicy oak and forest floor closing out the finish. This was quite enjoyable, and there's plenty of robust flavor, but the profile was dangerously close to being unbalanced. On the second day the fruit had diminished to the point where the sweet oak was omnipotent. Personally, I don't think the Santa Rita wines work well with Adam's style...Drink up!

Dark garnet. Big, alluring notes of black cherry, mushroom and asian spice on the nose and palate; finish round but surprisingly salty and somewhat bitter. Started great, but disappointed in the end.

Nose - funky nose, forest floor, beets Mouth - a savory complex cuvée with good red fruit but almost coming across salty. For food. Intriguing. Recommended.

Popped and poured. Racy nose of black cherry, blackberry, sandalwood and spice. Black cherry, vanilla mid-palate; spicy oak on the funky, creamy finish. Not really like a pinot at all, and dangerously close to an oak-soddened cherry bomb. Good, though.

13.8% alcohol. Consistent with the previous bottle. There is just something so compelling about the purity of fruit and concentration to this wine. It's a leaner style than usual Cargasacchi fruit, and it's got a terrific earthiness. Singing. A-

13.8% alcohol. Digging the lush, dark fruit profile here in a racy, elegant frame. Dark cherry color. Brilliant nose of black cherry, blackberry, earth, and minerals. In the mouth, quite plush and soft, with a caressing mouth feel but also some bigger flavors, with its blackberry-tinged cherry, earth, and spice notes. Bright acidity and a slight creaminess on the finish. This is excellent right now. A-

13.8% alcohol. Showing surprisingly forward for a Cargasacchi Vineyard wine at such a young stage. Dark red color. Pleasant nose of black cherry, raspberry, earth, and a bit of oak. In the mouth, very fine balance, with pure fruit, spice, minerals, and good acidity. Solid finish. B+/A-

BIG Santa Rita Hills "funk" on the nose: earthy, black cherry cola. More black cherry and some minerality mid-palate; oak is prominent in the structured finish. Still too young, expect this one to improve with another year or two in the cellar.

My previous note still applies, but everything is down a notch or two. Still a very lovely wine that is in its waning days. Drink by 2016.

Earthy and spicy. Very dark and brooding for a pinot. Soft tannins with a medium finish.

A wonderful nose of spice and earth, but it is so over oaken that it is hard to get over. Much better on day two. Likely needs time in bottle.

Clove, cola. A lot of oak, but not overwhelming. A great fireside wine. Not overly fruity.
Great after being opened for 24 hours. Recommend holding until 2012.
