Doing very well today. Complexity as before, but great nose of blackberries - same in the mouth - great intensity. Very St. Julien (I"m thinking Gruaud Larose). Punching well above its weight. Good now, might be even better in 2-5 years.

Deep purple color, with very modest signs of age. Intense nose of rubbed tobacco, dried herbs, plums and wet stone, fresh green leaves, cassis. Smooth up front, good mouth feel, softer red/black fruits - plums, cherries and redcurrants, herbs and sandalwood, good acidity still (plus some supporting tannins), great length of fruit, well integrated wood and a good dose of pyrazine. Amazing to think this is the second wine for earlier drinking. Singing at 12 years old, and still has time to go. Drinking well now with food, but will probably improve further over the next 3 years. Napa mountain fruit meets old world styling - love this.

You would be hard pressed to find a better value for a Napa Cabernet. This wine is fantastic on every level - smooth, not too sweet, strong finish... paired perfectly with pork chops.

Notes from memory. Let air for 3 hours before a grilled fillet dinner. Dark crimson color. Nose brought cherry herbs, eucalyptus, and mint. The palate was medium-full, square, juicy, and deeply concentrated, bringing blackberries, dark cherries, chocolate espresso, sweet tobacco, savory herbs, and candied raspberries into the finish, which was dense but refined. I was impressed how this wine captured an intense purity of fruit in an old-world style claret. Still many years ahead. Drink through 2030 at least. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 94.

Wonderful nose - floral, fruity, and fennal. Palette was less good but got better over time as it opened up. Vibrant and well balanced, could have used a little more complexity on the palette.

Solid spring mountain cab. Lighter weight, good balance, plenty of earthiness, bright fruit. Lots of complexity for a $40 bottle and really easy to drink. Enjoyed this very much and will try to get more .

Being the second wine, or the "more easily accessible wine" from Togni, I was quite surprised when I got this effort in the glass. It is of course full-bodied and massive, but in a way that makes it elegant. I can tell since the glass did not leave my nose for about 2 hours, which still is quite surprising when thinking about it. There is of course plenty of fruit to be found, but the fruit is adjoined by beautiful Cedar wood (or led pencil), subtle mint and sage. The palate is nicely integrated tonight with tannins emerging at the back end. There is only a nice, subtle trace of new oak. Acidity levels makes this effort a lovely food companion. Certainly a nice acquaintance and a lovely bottle of wine!

Total Wine in Dallas had cases and cases of this. 07 is a great vintage and Togni is a great producer, so this has to be good, right? Wrong. The aromatics are all there, but the fruit missed the train. Thin and austere on the fruit. No fruit to balance out the cedar aromatics. Disappointing. So many good 07's to choose from at this price point. This isn't one of them.

Popped and poured. Very smooth, lush cab. Tannins completely integrated. Muted fruit but well-balanced. Not clear to me that this will benefit from additional aging.

89-91: typical of Togni's style, this wine is not yet ready to drink. Big, robust, heavily tannic with a piercing minerality, this wine will improve with age significantly. Lay it down for another 3-4 years, you'll be glad you did.

I compared with another cabernet sauvignon from the napa valley and (despite being outnumbered in my opinion) prefered this one. I found it had a more interesting, spicy and intense nose, and a bit oaky and intense blackcurrent/cherry taste. Deep and vibrant nose. I'd say now would be the best time to enjoy this wine, for I don't know how much longer it will age.

Dark red; somewhat lean nose, spices; acidic slightly jammy attack, powerful, somewhat incoherent / out of balance; it's good, but somehow lacking something, like depth and some balance

Popped and poured. Tasty and unpretentious cab. Smooth round feel in the mouth. Oaky in the nose and mouth. Plentiful tannins. Enjoyable now, but put some away for later.

As before. Getting better with time. Excellent now. Unique, but the closest comparison is maybe a good Pauillac.

P&P Dark, not extracted but beautiful dark purple. Shows no sign of age. Nose reticient but there, dusty mountain nose, herby.
The palate this has weight right off the cork, huge cabernet fruit, triple swallow to get the fruit off the palate. Delicious.
Dusty blueberry fruit lingering, some wood, herbs, mint. Excellent bottle in a good place, but can go another 10, so balanced.

Big and bold. Pretty heavy on the tannins up front, but has a rich smooth finish that's almost surprising. Don't be afraid to decant for an hour.
