Garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of tobacco, berries and red hills dust. Flavors of raspberries, boysenberries and strawberries. Medium to tangy acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink now.
DAWGS.

Very green with little to no fruit. Thin and unstructured. Had of the other single estate bottles last year, and it was no better. Blended j k carriere wines are much better - none of his single vineyard offerings are worth the price at 50+ dollars - there are far better or and ca pinots, and even some burgundies to be had.

Winery visit- 9/8. Cola, fig and mulled spice notes on the nose that develop into really cool notes of mushroom, rose hip, sandalwood and cherry on the palate. Lithe smooth tannins and medium finish.

Forest floor and oak scents leap out the glass followed by brown spice and a little damp earth, anise and clove spice. The palate feel is intense and very spice with little fruit. This wine is excellent with a good structure but lacks weight and fruit character. Good wine that may get better.

Wow, this wine was amazing. So much life, it tastes just how I remember it 6 years ago. Wish I had more!
