Very nice and in complete harmony; cedar, chocolate, tobacco, very typical and attractive, lacks perhaps a wee bit of concentration to play in the big league. #U&A#FirstAid

This bottle had excellent provenance: Still with a little time. Cedar smell tastes with medium dark fruit and nice agile mid-palate lending to smooth finish. I wish I had one more bottle.

Definite Pencil lead dominant on the nose. Round and ready to drink on the palette. Some cherry on the mouth feel and a nice acidic finish. This is in its drinking zone. I wouldn't wait too long IMO.

Lovely RB BDX. The cab franc influence comes thru on the nose. Took an hour in a decanter to open up. Unfortuantely it started shutting down about hour two. Need to slow-ox the next bottle rather than decant.

Nice, very fresh berry nose for a 15 year old wine. A little thin on the palate but still enjoyable. Definitely old world Bordeaux style - good with food.

A little more expressive than last time. It also seemed thicker, richer, more concentrated. Yet savory. It's also rounder. It's coming together nicely. Steak, morcilla & chimichurri paired nicely.

Bordeaux, why are you so shy? why do you need so much time to come out? We are old friends by now. Relax! Immature, and it lacked the weight of what I'm used to in Pomerol. Could've passed it for Saint Julien. Don't know if it will develop further but I'd still give it a couple of years to see where it goes.

Last Offline of the Decade (MLV's & JC's): A little disappointed as I thought this was still tight and tannic, even after a 1+ hour decant. Light color, some earth on the entry, then mostly red fruit and some tabacco notes on the 30 second finish. This bottle would have benefited from more time.

Nose of cedar, graphite, and red fruits lead to a palate with plenty of red berry and tobacco fruits. Has a nice earthy component to it on the finish that is very enjoyable. Very nice wine.

Pretty good. I decanted it and it took about an hour to really open up. Dark Dark Red color which was uniform throughout. Tasted mainly cherry although the fruit was not strong (enough there to keep it interesting though). The tannins were pretty mild at this point. After about 3-4 hours it fell apart.

13% alcohol. Decanted 1 hour prior to serving in Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glasses. Beautiful clear ruby color in the glass. Floral notes up front with some cedar and tobacco on the follow-up. This is a balanced wine that still needs some time to soften the tannins. Bold but not overpowering cherry flavor up front with a few herbal notes on the finish. Score it around 92 points overall. Drink 2005 through 2010. Re-evalauate during that timeframe.

Purple, classic Pomerol aromas, rich spicy berries, doughy oak, bright berry flavors, lots of well integrated tannins, thin at times, but air brings together some with richer bigger mouthfeel and finish, 2nd day seems a bit thin again, aroms still great, closed down?
