Dark maroon color. Blackberries, white pepper, vanilla, and spicy oak on the nose. Medium to full body with soft, ripe tannins and decent acidity. Loads of sweet, spicy fruit on the palate with some nise pepper in the background. A bit of residual sugar. More of a cocktail wine than something to go with dinner. This works for $10.

At first, there was lots of raspberry on the nose, along with a bit of sweet cherry. As the wine opened up, the nose has less fruit, and it has a hint of floral. Raspberry on the palette, along with some spice and a bit of oak. Smooth, easy drinking wine.

Growing six generations. The entry level line for Thorne Clark. 3/4 is estate and then the rest is bought fruit. The estate is maybe a mile over the hill to Hill of Grace.
Oak, aussie and well done. Meaning not over done.

color: dark ruby red-purple; nose: oak and cherry -- typical shiraz profile; taste: initial impression of medium-body fruit jello candy, hollow mid-palate, shortish cocoa-chocolate fruity plum finish; overall: OK -- but tastes a little fake, wants to show polish and verve but doesn't quite pull it off, not as good as same-year peers Peter Lehmann Shiraz, Layer Cake Shiraz, or even cheaper Woop Woop Shiraz.

Smooth, grapey flavor and some spice and tannins underneath. Not bad.

Grapey. Nice, not tannic. Plummy sweetness with floral undertones.

What a diamond in the rough! For $9.99 this will become a house shiraz. Dark purple in color, well balanced, nice finsh. Remarkable for the price.
