Ratings are probably about right. This is still pretty good on pop, if you like fruit bombs you missed the boat, but it has some more interesting nuances now. Dies after a day open though. I'll drink my last bottles soon.

My last of 5 bottles and my note from 4/2012 must have been from a flawed bottle. While clearly mature and at peak, this wine is still drinking nicely. Excellent with plank grilled Salmon and flavor profile of dark cherry, cola & some earthy elements. 89-90 range.

Bright, shiny clear ruby red. Pinot funk nose, sweet cherries, some cola. Overall a tad sweet on the palate, no tannins and a touch off balance. Must be the lack of acidity. Nice but lacking a bit. 88

Hey, this is _really good_. As with previous bottles, bright ruby color, ethereal sheen to the translucence, lithe body. Enticing aromas -- first, spice and forest, then, summer flowers and bursting ripe berries. The first sip opens right up into blueberries, raspberries, and crisply defined cherry undertones, lingering finish. One of the best QPR in my cellar. Well done, Chad!

The last of my 2008s and based on this bottle, I'm happy I didn't wait to consume the others. It seems to be showing signs of the end and encourages me to tap in to the 2009s sooner rather than later. Still sharp red fruit mixed with a only a hint of tannin. It's coming across with a little too much cough syrupy fruit.

Nice nose of cherry, spice and earth. For me, the palate is incredibly sweet, like sweet cherry juice, with nothing to balance it. I can see where many would like it, but I'm not a fan.

Consistent from before - I don't think this is getting better, but I was so pleased to find a "surprise bottle" in the cellar that it made it consistent with previous notes. Light cherry with a medium finish - great for the money.

Luscious. 2 hour decant. Gorgeous aromas of blueberries, blackberries and strawberries on the nose, with strong ruby legs in the glass. Great balance of fruit compote with muted tannins on the palate. Chad just keeps getting better and better with time in the cellar. A QPR grand slam!

Killer QPR. Cherries and spice and everything nice. Every bottle keeps getting better with age adding luscious complexity and layers of depth you wouldn't expect from the bright red, light body of this Pinot noir. Chad is rad!

So distressed to get to my last bottle of the '08 chad. It's been a wonderful ride through the case. And I've refused, on principle, to take on the '09, since it comes from some completely different vineyard(s). Lovely red color, light bodied. Fragrant with cherry and spices and underbrush. Good balance of fruit and acidity. all for just $16.

Wow, this is amazingly excellent, especially for the price. One of the very best QPR in my cellar. Classic Pinot Noir look, aroma, and palate. Brilliant effort by Chad.

Open and decanted about 2 hours by now. Drinking nicely. Nose has a yeasty/fried food quality. Palate is soft with plum and berry flavors, a little sour on the finish but with some fruit too. Tannins? not much. Very good for the price point

Nice going, Chad. A rich cherry to the eye. On the nose, oak and bing cherries. Happy on the palate, like a summer cherry pie. With Chad, life is a just bowl of cherries.

A nose of cherry and spice, light to medium amber in color. A smooth, easy drinking Pinot, cherries, strawberry, Asian spice, drinks like a $30 wine, 2nd time tasted in last couple months, similar results..

Fruity Pinot Noir with ripe fruit and acidity front and center. Still showing its with its ruby and purple tones and watery rim. Medium finish with balanced oak adding to but never leaving the bright, fully ripe fruit. Not complex, with nice body has a very faint cellar aroma in background, very likable and delicious. Good value if discounted.

Incredible QPR - all about the fruit but not overripe or out of balance- rich acidity balances the cherry / cherry cola on the palate - nice aromatics (cherry / floral). Better with air. Excellent with plank grilled Salmon. One of the best under $20 Pinot Noir's that you can buy IMO.

Nice cherry and strawberry fruit -- but a bit light / thin for $40 juice (which is it rumored to be). Decent QPR at $18 / bottle ($16 / bottle by the case). Good with food

Solid pinot at a great price. Similar vineyard sold by Tudor, but 40 bucks less. Very bright in color, big, fruity nose, smoothe on the mid-palate with the familiar spicy finish of a SLH pinot. Went for the case discount- I'm glad I did!!

I thought this bottle needed a lot of air. 60-90min decant necessary. Full bodied and good mouthfeel - black cherry and raspberry fruit on the palate - but generally simplistic. Nose and finish had some unpleasant bitter notes.

Decently pleasant but a bit weak on fruit, and over the hill by now.
Other bottles were better when younger.
