This wine out of bottle (no decant) worried me as past it's prime. Nose was old, with a bit of mustiness. First sip confirmed an older vintage. From there, this wine exploded with flavors. It just kept getting bigger and more dramatic. By the end, I was regretting not having more. Absolutely loved this wine and age has not done this girl any damage.

Lots of ripe fruit and cassis with a prominent oak treatment. If high oak does not bother you or ruin your food taste, you will love this bottle! Well rounded and enjoyable wine. Medium to long length.

Pnp thru aerator. Complexity - not very 7 Texture - smooth 9 Mid palate density - pretty good 8 Proportion - pretty good 8 Finesse - good 9 Balance - good 9 All in all, a very pleasant wine. Not as fruit-forward as many Mollies. Certainly, not tasting hot. Good stuff.

I got chocolate and berry on the nose...tastes of plum, blackberry, chocolate and oak. Smooth, integrated, bit of a bomb, but very enjoyable. No heat, minimal tannins. Ready to go. Drank over 3 days and it held up.

Dark red in color. Smell of dark berries and plum. Blackberry, currant and blackberry in taste. Quite a different style than a Napa Cab, a bit more silky with less tannins.

Marked by an initial wallop of drying tannins, this Gigglepot does open up to reveal pure fruit flavors and complex tastes. Black cherry takes center stage, followed by mixed berry with notes of sage and anise. A secondary layer that features black olive and spice leading to a bold, oak driven and polished finish. Needs time to put it all together, but everything is there to make that happen with short term cellaring and beyond. Mollydooker 09 release dining event Morton's South Coast.

Smells like cranberries and cream. Huge nose. Loads of currants and cranberries on the palate, big and juicy with an eternal finish. Very enjoyable if you like the style.

Wine Blogger's Conference 2010 - Opening Tasting (Wine Blogger's Conference, Walla Walla, Washington): Rich, deep blackberry scents explode out of the glass. Underneath them resides some light eucalyptus notes and some milk chocolate. This is really enjoyable to smell. On the palate, it delivers good blackberry flavors that go through an incredible evolution of tart flavors. Blue fruits and big vanilla flavors work well together on the mid palate, and the fruit remains lovely as it lingers on the finish. The wine is quite rich, and a bit of heat thins things out, but it doesn't really cause any trouble, which is an impressive balancing act.

Massive nose, cabernet fruit on overdrive. Heavy on the palate, nice linearity on the way it's flavors hit the palate and how they diminish in the finish. A hit of alcohol does peak up in the finish, not as smooth as the other wines I had at the Mollydooker table. Slightly bitter on the finish due to this but this pairs decently with the blue fruit on the palate. This is another heavy, beast of a wine.

60 min decant- full bodied wine with a medium plus finish- was fruit forward and would benefit from a few more years in bottle.

THE Best Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever had. Slight aroma, but wow....the flavors are complex. I could (and will) enjoy a whole bottle myself.
