Not one of my favourite St.Emilion, I found it flat with no real definition. The body was medium to full, with mild tannins. Did need much decanting to open, however time did not help. One more bottle in my cellar will give another try and see if I change my mind.

Nose of black berry, allspice, and sage, same on the palate, medium body, rich, simple fruit, end of the bottle from the restaurant bar so oxidized, a free taste so great QPR, tasty, and a medium/long finish.

Pretty basic Bordeaux here. Worked fine with rib roast leftovers, but not too interesting or complex. Fairly dense coloring with ruby at the edges. Aromas of dark and dark red fruits, clove, and fennel. Medium body, acid, and finish, and smooth on the palate with similar flavors. Tannins are pretty integrated and I don't really see this improving, so I'd drink now.

No formal notes. Quite ripe and generous fruit on nose and palate. Soft tannins, enough acidity, quite linear and smooth without being overly complex. 87-89

Smooth as velvet. Blackberry and currant with clove, cinnamon, and vanilla. Nicely integrated oak. Balanced and complex. Finish a bit shorter than expected for such an elegant palate, but otherwise a wonderful experience.

Really good nose, open and layered with notes of ripe dark fruit, earth, spices, violets. On the palate a bit angular, drying tannins, decent fruit and acidity. A bit astringent and hollow towards the finish. 86-88

Pretty consistent with my previous note. The nose is quite rich showing notes of concentrated, sweet fruit, cherries, plums, spices, violets. On the palate not much fruit and depth, a bit astringent and bitter. A bit simple but good value at the price. 86-88

Plums, cherries, smoke and spices on the nose. On the palate good fruit at first then a bit angular and almost bitter towards the finish. Quite drying. Good value. 86-88

Bought several bottles of this wine from the famed 2009 vintage. At about $20 a pretty good value. Decanted a couple of hours. Complex and red fruit flavors. Stayed about the same through day two with perhaps a little drop off to alcohol.

Popped and poured through a Soirée; short decant. No formal notes but I recall this bottle being a lot more expressive than the 2010 version that we served alongside.

Nice everyday bordeaux and good deal if it was $20. Interesting flavors and decent balance, nothing out of whack. Drink anytime.

Did not really do it for me. Fruit never really developed and tannins quite present.

An hour or so of air chases off an unreasonable tannin load. Otherwise inoffensive, but a bit short on fruit. Another Bordeaux QPR "fail".

Too early. It only got itself together on 2nd day and 3rd day is the best.

Medium bodied, light in color, with a focus or bright, fresh, red fruits, this should offer its best drinking in its youth.
