PnP consumed over two nights, night #1 showing somewhat better. Typical aromas and flavors, with above-average purity of fruit, but only fleeting moments of complexity and individual character. Not something I would seek out. Drink thru 2018

The wine store had given this wine very high praise. The rest of the wine club selections where amazing in that delivery. This one was okay - full mouth, smooth tanins. It didn't shine in any particular dimension of it's flavour profile.

Almost a year later, still showing young but in a more closed down phase after 15 minutes of air, shape shifting a bit in the glass. Not as opulent as the recent tasting of the '06. There is a lot going on here, with a more savory mushroom element, a little less green pepper, and more complexity than the last showing. Plenty of sediment, so stand up/decant before serving.

Dark color. Nose of graphite, bell pepper, some perfume, plums. Red currant, lead, mint, great acidity on the front. Mid-palate is somewhat disjointed, dark fruit balancing the acidity with pleasant mouth feel. Long long finish, smoke and oak and a touch of heat with fine tannin.
Had to drink at least one of these young. This wine is fun in its youth, not coming together 100% at the moment but has the elements to be significantly better in 2-5 years.

Consistent with previous, drinking at peak now. 2007 was a good year for Coombsville.

WCC 2007 Napa Cabernet Blind (Dorato's Resturant, Guilderland, NY): [Double decanted at 8am.] More muted nose of black fruit and beef. Very tannic. Backward, but lots of ripe fruit. Great potential. 93-?? points. Group WOTN#1.
