WWC - CH (Fort Worth Club): Tasted blind - deep purple in the glass; not a big nose, but fresh red berries; integrated, but noticeable tannins; slight hint of tea; nice fruit on the palate, some blue fruit. I guessed a northern Rhone here. This bottle was in a nice spot.

This wine went prefect with our lobster thermidor. Compared it alongside a Caymus Mer Soliel Chardonnay and it paired much better with the sauce. The wine is fresh, lots of fruit, soft tannins, medium-bodied.

Nose and flavor profile are strongly dominated by the Grenache component. Rich middle that is even and extremely well integrated. Nice finish that persists with a rich mouth feel and warmth. This conclusion is a bit different than what I wrote nearly a year previous. It seems that I was not paying attention, then, or the wine has come out of a closed period in the intervening time.

It's been an interesting journey, and now it ends with this last of six bottles. This is a bit cooked, though presenting that character mildly. So it may well be past peak. There are also some tertiary earthy flavors gaining ground here. The lovely creamy body persists, as does the ripe dark berry fruit and tangy acidity. Definitely some licorice hanging around the finish, as well as a pleasant leathery woodiness. If you still have some, I suggest you don't dally. Drink up!

On Day 1, I was uncertain about this wine, it seemed disjointed and the finish was pure grenache but muted. On day 2, it seemed to open up a bit more, but was not impressive. Day 3, wow, it opened up quite nicely displaying a nice bramble fruit, leather, spice and white pepper. This is not ready for drinking. It needs at least another year or 2 to develop.

Can't seem to get this one right. 2 years ago it needed a decant, so this time I decanted. Still not impressive. Have one more bottle and will try PnP again.

Last bottle seems to have been an anomaly. Although I would not describe it as jammy, this wine most certainly has a ripe sweetness to it, and still just a touch of heat. Creamy medium-to-full body, plenty of tannic structure, and lots of blackberry and black raspberry. Some licorice pops up on the medium finish.

Very nice. decanted for 2 hours, but may not even have needed it. Pouring it in the decanter, the room filled with garrigue and fruits. great balance, nice complexity, earthy. drink up.

I am shocked at the change in this wine over the last nine months. It has entirely shed its primary fruit and is no longer jammy in the slightest. There's still some alcohol heat but more than anything it is distinctly dry and veering more toward savory than sweet. Leathery on the nose and while the palate is dotted with cherry and blueberry it is only mildly fruity, quite tart, fairly acidic and very firmly structured. I am glad for the more reserved nature but frankly it's now gone too far in the other direction.

This is really starting to shine. It is coming together balanced with bright fruits, and great freshness. There is enough garrigue and herbs to keep it interesting. Nice long finish. Great with foods as there is good acidity.

Heady nose of tobacco, cedar, blueberry and a hint of tar. Smooth medium body with refined tannins. Lively blue fruits on the palate. Nice balance, structure and acidity. A little short on the finish but overall very pleasant.

Wildly different than the 2007, but I like it. Black cherry, earth, blackberry, garrigue on the nose. Black cherry, tart chery, earth, licorice, spice, and herbs on the palate. Good acidity and finish. The palate lacks a certain something to bring this to 90 points, but this is still really enjoyable and actually more drinkable with food than the 2007. 89+

I let this on decant for over 8 hours.. Still little to no fruit, but still a nice silky smooth wine, well made with nice tannic structure and wonderful peppery spices. This was an excellent accompaniment to dinner. I'll let these rest a few years before oppening again in hopes of more fruit.

Final CdP of the night. I've been wanting to crack open one of these since delivery to see where it is at. This is definetly modern style CdP with a lot of promise with more aging. It's a little out of balance with the alcohol and tannins but still very enjoyable to drink. It complimented the meal nicely but will hold for at least another year before opening the next one.

A ripe and modern style with traditional roots. When it first hits the palate there is a flood of juicy dark fruit akin to a California Rhone. What follow are minerality and structure that speak of a wine with real character and terroir. Complex and delicious.

Tasty, but, surprisingly, still young. Could have used a couple of more years.

Needed a long decant but opened up to nice CNP with good fruit and acidity and a dusty finish. Good with braised lamb shanks and white beans.

High toned, brambly Grenache dominates the front of this wine. There is very good, mellow fruit in the middle. The finish is less memorable.

Drinking perfectly right now. Dark fruit and some resin or tobacco on the nose. Nice finish -- long, gently fading with soft tannins.
