Ripe orchard fruit throughout, fully mature. I've had better and worse bottles from this same case. Best when popped-and-poured, certainly less interesting an hour later.

Casual Burgundy Dinner with Friends from Becky Wasserman (The Bristol - Chicago IL): The absolute best bottle so far from a case+ purchased several years ago. Ripe orchard fruit with excellent concentration, floral hints with subtle savory spice. Shockingly fresh for its age, I'd have thought it at least 5 years younger if served blind. Served alongside the 2012 vintage, both showing so much similarity, with obvious age differences.

One of the better bottles from the 2 cases I bought a couple of years ago (now half consumed). Ripe stone fruit and apple with a nice level of maturity, giving a slightly caramelized character. Lots of sweet spice as well. Good density. Very fun now.

Wines Tasted at HDH Auction (Tru Restaurant - Chicago IL): Rich stone fruit aromas with some sweet spice notes. Started off moderately mature with caramelized fruit, but consistent with expectations from the vintage. Freshened up with more air, showing greater energy and length after 30-45 minutes vs when first opened.

HDH auction tasting at Tru; 9/18/2015-9/19/2015: A very broad chardonnay. This is large-scaled, with a lot of ripe stone fruit flavours. This is definitely advanced, but not showing particularly oxidative notes. There's a surprising amount of acidity on this, but to my palate, this lacks the freshness that I really prefer in my chardonnay. That said, I can't deny the potency of this bottle.

Rich and mature apple and pear with Grand Cru density, well supported with slightly sweet spice. Like the other good bottles, this would still have been better 5 years ago, but still a good drink. A very good bottle from what has proven to be a very inconsistent case.

Lots of stone fruit with good concentration and spice, just far older than I would hope. Still good enough to enjoy a couple of glasses until it faded completely. First two bottles from this case were wonderful, but the last two disappointed.

Far darker and more advanced vs prior two bottles opened late last year. Not nearly as interesting or enjoyable, and this didn't hold up nearly as long once open.

First bottle from a recent case purchased at auction. Dark color that would make some jump to conclusions. Incorrectly. Ripe, powerful apple and pear, perhaps even some poached pear character, all with some sweet background spice. Very dense and concentrated, I would 100% have thought Grand Cru if served blind. Enough acidity has helped retain freshness, even if this is best consumed in the next few years. Note: I normally prefer white Burgundy just slightly cooler than cellar temp (52F) but liked this best a few degrees colder.

Completely oxidized. While I have had some brilliant bottles of this as recently as 2017, this is now 2 consecutive that were undrinkable..

Casual (Mostly) Burg Dinner with Friends (Paris Club - Chicago IL): Slightly more subdued vs another bottle form same case from a week ago, this was also mature with good concentration, just slightly less nuance. Still very good and pleasurable.
