Found a bottle that was opened at least 6 months ago and was half full with no argon. Surprised how delicious it still was, with layers of roasted nuts, fig, chestnut honey with a surprising level of crisp acids to balance out the sweetness. Amazing QPR if you like these rich sherries.

P: Full, poss MF, body; SWT, acidity attempting to balanced, though not to the extent of the previous wines in this flight; Long finish (albeit just a TOUCH faint); (If interested, there are reviews & NUMEROUS medals on wine-searcher's Tasting Notes pg.) [As of mid Mar '20, wine-searcher shows numerous sources from $24-$34].

This was better than I thought it would be. Caramel color. Nose is not that interesting. The taste is creamy, caramel, maple syrup and sherry (sorry but it is). The maple syrup dominates on the long finish. Very nice to sip.

Brick colored in the glass, brownish edges, fig and prune on the nose, palate was well balanced with rum raisin and a hint of nuttiness. Nice.

I've always found this hard to distinguish from the Capataz Andres; perhaps it's a touch more polished.

Desserts: Classic molasses aromatics are not particularly expressive. Spiky alcohol makes this tough to tolerate.
