A bit heavier than I last recall, lacking some finesse and a little short but seems to be holding up well enough. Likely better as a younger wine I feel.

nice wine. Versatile, very drinkable with just about anything. not a complex mind-bender, a wine to quaff over simple fare and good conversation. No need to hold any further.

Pretty simple Beaujolais but very drinkable. Nice, juicy fruit, moderate depth with some fine, but firm, tannins which make it quite a nice food wine. A little one dimensional but good value and easy drinking.

Medium bodied, savoury with good acid and tannin structure. Black cherries, mild spice and a little aniseed. A little short on the finish but good enough value and in a nice place right now. Can't see it improving significantly.

really enjoyed this - 90 minute decant, rhubarb, toffee apple and cloves - still hints of acid but not obvious - nice length and probably near peak but no immediate rush - another reminder for me to be patient with gamay

Ruby. Really earthy nose, trace of quite dark fruit hidden behind it. Light to medium bodied. a burst of red fruit on the palate, intense and sharp. Has some dry tannins and then finishes with more of that red fruit, raspberries and a touch of smoke. Good parts but seems a bit disjointed at the moment.

This wine was good just after it opened with earthiness, strawberry and plums, but as it got more air it got drier with lighter tannins becoming more prominent. Will open another bottle in six months, and cellar the rest for a couple of years.

OK. Not realy loving these 2009 Beajoulais..seems I am a pinot man at heart. A bit too chewy and earthy still.
