Lovely, mature Riesling nose that maintains a surprising amount of freshness. Deep and complex flavors of peach and honey, with a citrus note and some tertiary flavors. Medium acidity on the palate with lovely depth of flavors and notes of more stone fruit and citrus with good weight. Long finish. A fantastic wine and experience!

Tasted blind originally thought is was older Chardonnay but on second guess thought it was Gruner. Very unusual combination of laser crisp entry and leesy creamy finish. Overall a really interesting wine.

Dinner with friends (My house): Pure, petrol fumes and natural aromas of fresh cut grass, honeyed peach and apricot, and white flowers. Mature, weighty palate well supported by a vibrant acidity and minerality. No signs of decline. Beautiful wine, and very Nikolaihof in style.

Petrol and sweat on the nose. Very rich, oily and unctous with a slickness. Some acids in there to balance. Thickness and alcohol give an illusion of sweetness. Clean finish with bitter marmalade notes. Definite class here.
