Still drinking great. Wasn't sure what to expect at the 14 year mark, but still retained a lot of its original complexity and fruit and has not started to decline yet.

Dark ruby red. Ripe blackberry, black currant and musty spice aroma. Blackberry and plum with a nice hint of sweetness and still drying tannins nicely balanced with acidity. Medium finish.

The 2002 Ste Michelle had a blackish colour to rim. On the nose, there was blackcurrant, licorice, herbs, mint nd spice. On the palate, it was full-bodied, concentrated and rich. The wine had sweet tannins and was nicely balanced with refreshing acidity. The finish was medium. Drink now - 2015.

Dark ruby red. Very subtle nose of plum and dark berries with a bit of mustiness. Plum, dark cherry and blackberry with a very smooth sweetness and soft tannins for a wonderful finish. This is drinking superbly right now! 90

A superb value at about $20. The opaque color makes it look more like a Syrah than a Cab. It's relatively refined on the nose and palate, where it shows ripe blackcurrant and blackberry. Has a hell of a grip on the palate and finish. Secondary notes of leather and smoke add complexity. Just can't beat this at this price.

Concentrated and tasty. If you can find it for $20 or under, it is a very good wine for the money.
