Beautiful ruby red color, festive in character. Fairly sweet and acidic. A good value at $29-30. But a bit disappointing overall - reminded me too much of the cheap Cold Duck I drank in my youth.

Surprisingly sweet. Not awesome. I don't want to compare it to anything because it stands on its own. I made the mistake of trying to drink it with a Moroccan Chicken dish that was very salty - not a good pairing. All in all, it felt like a decent hot summer evening patio wine, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Nice berries and plum flavor that I have not experienced in a sparkling before. There is a bit of tanin to make it different from what most people consider a traditional sparkling. A great conversation wine since most people haven't had a sparkling red that is pinot based.

Great conversational wine, you can't find many sparkling red wines. We drank this wine with Thanksgiving dinner and loved what it brought to our meal. The nose is of cranberry and light fruit. This wine has a delicious ripe fruit flavor with a hint of spice.

A bit surprised to see the reviews here thinking this came off too sweet - the finish certainly was on the sweet, but the attack and body were dry for PN grapes, especially considering the treatment they have received. My qualm was the hard tannic edge that marred the entry and finish, despite experimenting with temperature as the bottle warmed. Nowhere near as good as when tasted at the winery in Fall 2011, so definitely drink ASAP. 86/B = 50/5/12/7/7/5

Consistent with prior review - Carmine with stream of tiny pin point bubbles, and fresh bread dough, cherry aromas. On the palate dry brut style, medium-bodied, with enough tannins to make it interesting, with ripe plum and cherry flavors, and a medium finish. 100% Pinot Noir.

It's not a great champagne. It's not a great Pinot Noir. It is decent at both attempts and quite nice for a 104F evening cool down! I was going to give it an 84, but it gets extra points for the temperature differential! ;-)
We drank it chilled in champagne glasses. Maybe it should be served in Pinot glasses? ;-P. Pretty ruby color muted by the frost on the glass. Slight Pinot nose, but not much; could be the serving temp. Nice effervescence, like all Mumms! Fruity mouth. Strawberry-raspberry and... Quince? Whatever. It it totally confusing, but it's cold and today is HOT! :-D

I have only had one sparkling red before: an Australian sparkling shiraz. Given that many champagnes are made from pinot noir, I'm surprised that I haven't encountered these more often. That said, this was very pleasant and a nice accompaniment to some pre-dinner pate, salmon, and other treats. As for the wine, it has some typical pinot profile (cherry, some earthiness), but lacked any deep expression of the varietal and little in the way of yeastiness, or breadiness, that I like in my sparklers.

Disclaimer--I am not reliable at all in scaling champagnes as I rarely like them and don't drink them often. That said--this is unique and amazing. You get a light pinot noir taste with the sparkling twist. It was smooth and easy to drink. We enjoyed this one quickly and loved it. I will defintely re-purchase.

Very good, fun and versatile food wine. Enjoyed with colossal shrimp cocktail prior to dinner. I would not have guessed it was a pinot noir as it tasted a little dryer than a pinot. Good for the money.

Brought to 11/22 Seattle Wine.Woot tasting. This wine had a much better showing than at the winery; the extra months in the bottle did it a world of good. Somewhat fruity and very slightly sweet with good body but with just slightly too much acidity to be truly balanced.

Beautiful red sparkler, notes of rasberry and strawberry. Lots of acidity and not the most balanced wine out there, but went well with Pad Thai and visually makes an impression.

Surprisingly sweet, with large bubbles that dissipated quickly leaving a basic pinot noir. Reminded me of a bland lambrusco, without the balance.

Raspberry, plum, candied cherries on the nose. Raspberry sherbet with cherry topping is what came to mind with the flavors. Pairs well with food.
